Oasis Restaurant — Restaurant in Queensland

We were so excited to have dinner here on our way to Airlie Beach and Townsville. Because we have stayed here previously we know the rooms are comfortable clean and always immaculate.

What a disappointment at the restaurant though. The servers were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. We were alerted that there might be a wait because of room service which we were fine with. We ordered the Chardonnay on the.menu, but were offered another one . Very heavy on the pallate and we could only drink one glass each.

We ordered a starter, and 2 mains. The mains arrived with no starter delivered to the table yet. We were asked if they must take the meal away, and considering the possible wait, we cancelled the starter. The chicken with sweet potato mash was quite bland and could not finish the meal. The steak and side of garlic sauce was tasty but underwhelming for the price. Also had to go and collect my own steak knife as we only had the no-show starter cutlery on the table.

The staff was great and helpful, but the prices does not correspond with the quality of the dish.

We will definitely stay over again, but sadly not dine at...

Service was great. Food was less desirable. I ordered steak, being the beef country and all, I don't think the chef got the memo, steak was terrible, couldn't even finish it. Whoever made the veggies...100 stars to you because they where lovely! Chicken supreme was as dry as the Simpson dessert. Just a bit of let down seeing as both these dishes are over priced, steak was well over 50 and the chicken not far behind. The service was amazing, atleast something was up and above standard. We had an evening meal during our overnight stay at the resort. We booked via reception but the restaurant had no record. They found us a table. Waiters were attentive. The menu choices. We're standard to cater for all ages. Prices comparable to most good restaurants. We waited half an hour for our order. It was well presented and tasty. The outlook over the pool was pleasant and improved as night fell and the pool lighting added atmosphere. I really enjoyed the travel photos being shown on a TV screen in the restaurant.
