Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge — Hotel in Purnululu

This is an unexpected gem out in the middle of nowhere. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Stayed in a tent with an ensuite. Hot shower, comfy bed. The meals were amazing and drink prices are very reasonable for such a remote location. Each evening everyone would meet in outdoor eating areas, the staff would run through the menu and on our last day with had a trip out to the Bungle Bungles, so dessert that night was a dish that resembled the Bungle Bungles. Not as good as sister hotel in Bell Gorge. Semi permanent tents could do with sprucing up though they are comfortable enough. Service during our stay was pretty ordinary. Staff were barely trained, albeit perfectly pleasant, and the food on one of our 2 nights was dreadful. Breakfast is a rushed affair, you better be out by 8am, and items that run out are not replaced regardless of the time. I think I'd probably try to stay somewhere else if I returned to...

In a stunning location, this wilderness lodge has that rustic charm to give that remote glamping experience, (the track in us 4WD only and takes upto 2 hours to do the 64kms) whilst still providing all the modern essentials you need, if you find it hard to disconnect.
