November 8th 2019. My wife and I have just left Casey's Beach Holiday Park, Batehaven NSW. The bbq area was very good and the location to the beach and town centre was good. Also, the cabin was quiet. However, these were the best features. The booking was for a cabin with courtyard @$130.00 per night. I asked an attendant where the courtyard was and was told the front patio was the courtyard. We informed the management that the bathroom taps were continually running. We had a call from the management asking if the plumber could enter in our absence and we said yes. That was the Tuesday or Wednesday. If the plumber came he didn't make the repair. So, all night, every night we could hear the water running. I'm 195cm tall. I had to bend down to comb my hair. The shower access is designed for "oompa loompas". Step up and into the tiniest cubicle. The sliding door of the shower opens right to left instead of left to right, so your arm is under the water whilst adjusting the temperature. The hot water scalded my wife and my shower on our last morning ran hot and cold. No exhaust fan either. The kitchen tap should be treated with care. Be careful when it is turned on. Open it to quickly and water hits the sink base so fast and you'll be covered in water. The cabin itself looks like it was built in the 1960's with fittings from the same era. All in all we found the accommodation to be very poor. We had just spent 4 glorious nights at Discovery Pambula. We thought we may have a similar experience at Casey's Beach Holiday Park, however we were sadly mistaken. We would never stay at Casey's Beach Holiday Park nor recommend this park to anybody. I've had better experiences...
Read moreThe single beds are for kids. The foam is thick enough to sleep on, but it is nothing like a mattress that you might be used to. They are too short for an adult, you have to curl up. They could easily do with an extra two foot. Kids wouldn't find issue with them.
Courtyard cabins can sleep two adults on a double bed, then four kids on singles, one single being in the parents room. The bathroom has good water pressure. You feel safe here, the doors have heavy locks and there are always people around. One thing to be mindful of though, it is on a mainish road (Beach Road) that goes through Batehaven to Batemans bay.
There is a pool, tiny playground and TV room for entertainment where there are double tables and BBQs undercover in case of bad weather. Kids everywhere and they find each other to play with.
Bathrooms are clean, toilets in good order, outdoor shower for after dipping in the pool which in not heated.
All in all it is a nice cheaper option for a break which could suit families, however, I would pick elsewhere if available. It wouldn't be a bad last resort choice.
Casey's beach across the road is not much, but enough to hear the waves crashing 😊 blue bottles were everywhere, however, it was a full moon.
As we were packing up on our departure day I spoke with some other holiday goers, they were successful in catching flathead up at Corrigans Beach. If theres a next time I will take my rod...
Read moreGreat stay, basic but everything we needed. |We stayed in January with our 2 kids, the cabin was small & old school - but clean & had all the supplies we needed. The kitchen & bathroom had all the basics. ||The pool was lovely & refreshing on hot days. It desperately needs some shade though. One resident told us it use to have a shade sail until it was damaged in a storm. ||This park has lots of residents who keep to themselves & were friendly when we walked around. We stayed in a cabin right at the front of the park. The roads are quiet at night & the park peaceful. ||The major perk of this place is that it’s literally across the road from Casey’s beach which was just great for the kids. Waves big enough for boogie boards but not so big you fear for your life! Overall...
