Mt Edgcumbe House, Pointe Rapidé Estate & Vineyard — Hotel in Tasmania

As I sit in the lounge room on the velvet sofa with the fire roaring I’m contemplating ’squatters rights’. We check out tomorrow and I don’t want to leave..!! We have had such a beautiful stay at Pointe Rapide. The setting is just magic — tucked away in nature with peaceful views that make you feel instantly at home. The property feels private and calm, yet close enough to explore everything nearby. So many AMAZING cellar doors and attractions to visit. Go visit Robert at Small Wonders vineyard!

The accommodation itself was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into making guests feel welcome including allowing well behaved dogs. We especially loved the Tamar river views with our morning coffee, the cosy fireplace in the evenings and the outdoor space to relax with a glass of wine.

Our hosts were warm and responsive, making the whole experience effortless. It’s the kind of place that leaves you feeling rested and a very very reluctant to leave.

This house is set on a beautiful property overlooking the Tamar River as well as vineyards. Tho owners have not spared any expense restoring this 1800’s circa home. I cannot recommend this property enough. It encompasses the phrase "hidden gem" perfectly.

I have personally rebooked this accomodation 3 times now and just married my husband outside in front of an old arch on the property that overlooks stunning vineyards, paddocks and a pond.
