Beautifully located on the largest lake in NSW, the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. A large park with lots of annuals which are separated from the tourist/caravan sites. Lovely nice amenities block with excellent showers with glass doors! Big new indoor camp kitchen with a tiny sink and the noisiest exhaust fan in the world. The rubbish bins are located halfway up the hill behind the amenities which is quite a pain. Whoever designed the totally impractical Dump Point is either a sadist or a complete lunatic, who I hope has been confined somewhere a long way from any caravan parks! Lots of new cabins have been built and I hope the rough, stoney roads are next on the agenda for coat of bitumen. Lots of birdlife and very little other noise make the lakefront sites a lovely place to watch the sun go down.

We stayed in very new 3 bed room cabin with lovely large deck which meant relaxing times outside with a view to the Lake. Car and boat fitted easily down the side - lots of boats in the park during our stay. Snuck a look inside their very new camp kitchen and amenities block. Very impressive - spacious shower cubicles with huge shower heads. Staff were fantastic - all were helpful and friendly. On site Camel Rock Brewery a huge bonus. We had 2 evening meals there - Well priced and good quality. Whole park including brewery is dog friendly. Yes the roads inside the park are a bit pot holey but after la Nina they're not alone there. Very good price for cabins. More competitive than their immediate neighbour. Big thumbs up from me

One of the cleanest Big4 camp grounds we have ever been to. A brand new amenities block has recently been opened, with a modern & spacious camp kitchen and new restrooms/ showers too. Fire pits are available for free to be picked up and placed by your site, firewood can be purchased for a reasonable price from reception. As it’s a pet friendly park, we brought our dog who loved the beach across the road for a free run. The lake site position is great for paddle boarding and fishing. Only downside is the nearly non- existing reception/ the internet access is not strong enough to do work with. Overall an amazing holiday park & we are looking forward to coming back!

We were a part of A group of 5 families who booked a getaway with our families in October last year. Our group includes 15 children ranging from 4 to 17 years old and we are hugely disappointed that a park and company that promotes itself on being ideal for families has left us underwhelmed! Not only did we book this trip on the recommendations on friends who have been before, but also the great name Big 4. As Big 4 perks members we have stayed at many parks that offer a huge range of kids activities during the school holidays but here there is nothing. Even though it is promoted on the website and lists all the available facilities and activities at the park. On arrival we were told the jumping pillow was out of service - in actual fact has not been fixed since the 2020 fires in the region. The pool was also closed when we arrived from our 8 hour trip and on calling reception on Sunday 10/04 was told “it may be” open tomorrow but they were not sure. The promoted school holiday activities are no where to be seen and reception also told us that the holiday activities coordinator was uncontactable. So we though well we will hire a boat and head out on the lake - no these are unavailable as well. The chess area is roped off due to the recent rains - which we understand but much of the park is like walking in sludge and with children walking in and out of cabins some extra towels would be extremely helpful! Not only are the majority of the “free” activities closed and no holiday activities available we are still expected to pay $8 a round per child for mini golf and $5 each ride on the pedal carts? I mean that is a bit rich considering we are a group of over 25 people who are spending $100-$150 a night extra on food and drinks at the on-site pub. The kids room attached to the pub is dismal - nothing works in the room. We are extremely unhappy with our visit and have attended Big 4 parks before where we are given daily updates on the runnings of the park - yet things here seem to have been broken or unavailable for sometime. We have contacted reception and all we are told is “oh sorry about that” no offers of compensation or how the problem can be solved. On the day we left a week after the school holidays had started the park advertised 50% of kayak hire to celebrate the start of holidays. This made no sense and was not offered to us at all. The only saving grace for this park was the newly renovated/built cabins. They were clean, tidy and modern. The rest of the park needs a huge overhaul. I would rethink booking here if you...

What a disappointing stay…. We have been members of BIG4 for many years and have always relied on them having top notch parks and facilities. We have just completed an 18 day stay on a powered, ensuite site - this was BIG MONEY compared to other parks in the area - over $3k… not once did our ensuite get cleaned, not even a change of bath mat!! The location of the ensuite sites is at a 3 road intersection - 3 dusty, dirty, unmade, potholed roads. The dust was unbearable. There are no speed humps so cars were travelling way too fast through the camp site, making it very dangerous for my 3 years olds to play at the front of the caravan. The unmade roads made it impossible for them to enjoy their scooters. Whilst we had mostly fine weather, on the days when it did rain, the 2 washing machines and 2 dryers for a park of this size PLUS permanents is utterly ridiculous. The laundry was tiny, dirty and there was not a space to fold or put clothes that were finished. When we checked in we were given the WiFi password and told that the Internet is ‘not very good’ - what an understatement!!!!! It was non existent!! This is utterly unacceptable in this day and age. When I went to query why the internet was so bad and beg for an alternative as I have a business to run that requires me to be connected to the ‘outside world’ I was told “there are more than 600 people in the park and our internet cannot cope with that amount of people. You will need to go into Bermagui”. 3rd world countries have better internet than Lake Wallaga!?!? The playground, mini golf and swimming pool are a joke - the pool is dangerous; there is no shallow end, there is no shade and there is no where to change or sit if the 2 tables are occupied. The jumping pillow advertised on the sign is non existent, and the mini golf was closed due to lack of equipment… come on, get your act together, this is a BIG4 and right now, all you are doing is giving BIG4 a bad name. We...

Five star location, One star Big 4 !

First let me say the whole region is absolutely magnificent and Wallaga Lake is no exception. The location of the park is majestic but it is seriously let down by the amenities and especially by the service.

Most of the staff (bar one lovely older lady) are not customer focussed and even come off as disinterested.

We had issues booking with different information given by different people on whether our vans would fit.

The amenities are quite dated, internet does not work anywhere in park, park staff rarely answer the phone, and aside from the lake there is one average and quite dated park for kids to play in.

The mini golf area looks cool and canoes are available but it is a real hike to reception to get clubs and oars.

Lastly the backyard size pool has no shade and wasn’t clean and is literally miles from anything.

Our whole group received no less than 10 text messages through our stay which requested compliance or cooperation around certain park matters but largely didn’t apply to our group.

One text message congratulated the men on keeping their toilets cleaner than the women and suggested the Dads get a night off cooking … this was particularly amusing given most mums are the ones washing the lake bog of their babies bums and not getting a shower themselves whilst simultaneously being expected to clean the toilets for park staff.

On the last day it was pouring with rain and the park staff had cut our exit code for the boom gate at 815am (Checkout is 10) - this was just infuriating to have to get soaked for no reason only to find two office staff in the office but not opening because they don’t open till 9am.

Lastly the Brewery was a nice spot but the food was average, service poor and cost high for what you get.

Overall for around $150 a night we have had a lot better experiences - recommend the area especially bermagui, Tilba, Narooma and...
