This was the last leg of a four week travel experience around Central, Western and Southern Queensland so we were a little "pooped" when we arrived. However the room we had (they're all at ground level) was impressively large, even for our luggage and other impedimenta, and - wonder of wonders- there was even a mini bar, the first we'd encountered on this trip. Every amenity and facility you might want was there. Best of all the managers couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, with an invaluable tip on accessing the waterfall scenic round-trip drive. To our great chagrin and regret the Gunyah Restaurant was unfortunately closed due to Covid-19 restrictions but the Motel was only five minutes drive from the centre of town that that was no great imposition. Traffic by day thunders past on the highway but at night it was surprisingly quiet for its location. The Warwick Hospital is immediately next door so that may have had something to do with it. The room was huge with two queen beds and extremely comfortable....
Read moreWe stayed overnight in a family room. Really impressed at how much room you get for the price - the room was big, with the main bedroom separate from the living room. Two single beds were stored upright in the wall panelling of the living room, then folded down at bedtime and folded back up in the morning - meaning the living room couches can be used during the day to watch the large, flat screen TV, or just to relax. Kiddos reported the fold-down beds were very comfortable. The decor is a bit dated but spotlessly clean. There is a TV in the bedroom and in the living room. There were plenty of blankets and pillows were comfortable. The small dining table (seating four) was a bonus, as was the small kitchenette, which made it easy to wash up and refill the kids water bottles and snack boxes. Fresh Norco milk provided for tea and coffee was a welcome touch. The location is quiet with abundant parking. A great country motel, welcoming to families, that we would definitely...
Read moreThe chef is amazing! I wasn't expecting much when I ordered prawns with salad as a entree and chicken fettucini but whoa! I was blown away by the quality food that I got from the restaurant. The flavours and the presentation were something I'd expect from a ritzy and expensive restaurant in Brisbane. The chef made the pasta while I waited from scratch. The service was equally impressive and the girl that served me was attentive, friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and tidy and the reception staff were kind and friendly as well. Well done i travel extensively for work and this place is worth a second, third and even a...
