We just had a three night getaway to Wood Gate Beach, staying in the beach house. Overall, we loved the experience & will be back! The price of the accommodation was affordable, and a bonus was the cafe on site which was decently priced ($6 for a bacon egg muffin) The view was sensational, walk out the front door and the beach front is right there. The actual house itself was a bit run down (a loose tile or two etc) BUT it honestly didn’t matter as the overall appeal was still there & we were extremely happy, as I said we will rebook again, maybe even the larger one next door that accommodates more guests. The facilities in the house were great too, Webberque, clothesline, aircon, plenty of seating, wifi, TV. I would recommend anyone booking to not overpack meals (checkout the menus for the cafes & clubs for prices to weigh up) bring bottled water (the water had a weird taste from the tap), bring your fav beverages & all the essentials, walking shoes, sunscreen and bring a relaxed attitude. Quiet little town, our family of 5 really enjoyed just unwinding, morning beach trips & afternoon snacks overlooking the view.

To have a catch up with our caravanning friends we had 3 nights in a 2 bedroom "luxury villa" - would've preferred a villa closer to beach but they were booked out. At a tad over $130/nt it was great value. Very spacious with a huge front deck which we used daily with our friends. It was spotlessly clean & the kitchen facilities are great. Surrounded by vans of course and the park is dog central. Beats me why folk choose to walk their pooches around the park for ablutions when there's 6kms+ of Coral Isles coastal pathway & beach just over the road! If you're walkers the Banksia boardwalk & 5.2km track is just out the back. (no dogs) Overall a good stay but re-affirms we'll never be caravanners! Oh & lovely friendly welcoming reception staff!

The staff made this a great stay, very friendly and very helpful. They had a variety of sites and options of accommodation with mine being large, flat and very tidy. The facilities were clean and tidy with the Shop and Cafe on site very handy. The sites were close together which I guess is common with most caravan sites but their was enough individual room and its a very quite and relaxing park with loads of trees giving excellent shade and beautiful wildlife. One thing that I think would make a great addition would be a swimming pool. I booked on a summer special deal and was a very good price and booked in online. Thankyou to all the staff who were working during my stay keep up the good work you definitely make this place great.

I had a lovely experience and stay here. I called up on Friday too see if we could stay with friends in their cabin. The reception staff member gave advice on how cramped it was so we decided to do a last minute booking for that night with ease. Once arriving check in was easy and we were provided with a map and some advice on were to eat and bus services. The room was clean (although the split system filter was dirty we gave it a clean). It is a bit dated however the beds were very comfortable. We didn't use the park facility's however we not staying long enough unfortunately as they looked nice and well kept. We can see that there use to be a curtain to pull across to give privacy and the hooks are still there but curtains gone, it would be nice to have the curtain back as we would of liked the privacy but hung the spare blanket over the rails instead. It was a lovely walk to the cafe in the morning for breakfast but a bit muddy as there was no road or gravel in the cabins area. We would...
