Woodgate Beach Club — Restaurant in Queensland

Disgusted!!!!!! So angry!!!

I rang up to book a table in the morning for 6pm i recieved a instant text confirmation and verbally told all booked in. We walk in at 6pm to get our table to look around and not find my name !!! I approached a staff member to be told "we didnt put your name out. So just look for a table with no reserved sign on. " Of course none avaliable !!! 😡😡 by this time I approached a male worker to say there was no tables avaliable when we specifically booked in the morning. he then told me "well you can sit outside and if your cold turn the heater on. No one sits outside" of course no one sits out side it's winter we have a child with us. We then walk out stunned to try turn on a Heater and of course no gas. We then decide to just leave hungry and angry and disgusted by management.

We where in process to book a wedding here so you have now lost that business now!

This is a disgusting way of dealing with customers. Don't just tell a customer you just couldn't be bothered putting the booking on a table. What's the point of reserving.

Respect customers. You are in an area of limited food resources so when you turn people away they are not exactly able to get food anywhere else especially on a Friday night.

We absolutely loved our visit to the Woodgate Beach Club. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, the club its self is well laid out and accessible, easy to find the bar, restaurant, gaming area and the bowling greens.

It was lovely to see so many locals and travellers alike there and enjoying the facilities. It seems that this truely is a community hub with a ton of games nights, trivia nights, meat and seafood raffles, bowls and more happening continually throughout the week.

The meal prices were a little higher than we expected, but the daily specials were super affordable if you’re on a budget. The meals were brought out super quick and were lovely. There is also a desert window and coffee available if you are in need of a sugar hit after your meal.

We were happy to walk from the caravan park down to the club, it’s an easy 10 minutes along the path- roughly 650m, but you can also book the courtesy bus which will pick you up and drop you back after your visit.

We have a holiday nouse in Woodgate and usually like going to the club. We were at woodgate for a few weeks recently and enjoyed a couple of friday nights there, so when we had some visitors we went there during the week to BOOK a seat up near the entertainment for the friday night so we could show them a fun time. Instead when we arrived on the night there was no allocated table up the front. When i asked the man in charge of the bar said just find a seat elsewhere. There was a table allocated for us way down towards the back in front of the door going outside which let the cold in each time people went out. We asked a girl about being reseated and she sat us over the other side up near the bar. We could not hear the entertainment so we were all greatly dissappointed in the way our booking was just pushed aside obviously for some one else after being assured we had a seat up the front. We have heard the hotel has improved greatly with good meals etc so guess where we will be going in future and...
