Stuart Hotel Motel — Hotel in Wulguru

We have been going to the stuart hotel for the last 17 years, sadly due to an extremely rude staff member we wont be going back, mind you this is no reflection on the fantastic staff we have dealt with up to tonight, we have celebrated multiple family gatherings there including my fathers 90th birthday last year, we went for dinner tonight after a very challenging day at work, bought tickets in the meat tray at , 6.45, the lady selling the tickets came to us again at 7.30 and asked would we like to by a ticket, we asked if this was the first or second tray, she replied, the first, my wife said to her , that meat shouldnt be left out of the fridge for so long, as we saw the meat tray on her table the whole time, shortly after the rude staff employee came to our table and told my wife not to be rude to the lady selling the tickets, my wife expalained she wasnt ,she was voicing her opinion as we both noticed the meat tray had been out of the fridge the whole time. By this time I had had enough and told her to go away, we worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years owning and operating a motel, and are very cautious about food safety, and have have bouts of food poisioning over the years, this same person came up to us a couple of months ago and asked us could we move as the table had been booked to another group, I explained there was no booking on the table as we would not have sat there if there was, she said it was missed by mistake, and we had to move She wasnt interested in that and insisted we move , I told her we are nearly finished and would move in case it was for some older customers, we went and sat on the bar stools to finish our meal and we see 3 young guys waltz in and sit at our table. To the staff member in question, well done you have just cost you employer a great deal of lost income, to all the good staff, are bar one or two thank you for the last 17 years of...

After my grandparents had flown in from over seas I decided to treat them to what I thought would be a nice dinner out at the pub. From the moment we got there we weren’t made to feel welcome. The bar staff didn’t want to be there, they looked miserable. When ordering the meals, the kitchen staff were shouting at the order taker that they had “none of that left” rather than coming and telling us, or the staff member at the counter. Finally we sat back down and the girl came to our table stating they had no rump left at all and would we like something else? We settled for an eye fillet. Whilst watching the meals be prepared I seen them put the eye fillet under the light which sat there for well over 15 mins and was never brought to us. We got our meals and suddenly we were asked if we got the eye fillet.. which was right infront of my dad and he was eating it. They then tried to take the meal away from him while he was eating it to replace it with the one that by this point had been under the light for over 20 mins. We told them no, he’s already eating his meal. Then AGAIN the staff have come over asking what the go was with the eye fillet which we said he’s now eaten it, we don’t understand. And AGAIN they come over asking what meals were missing and there were none. After all of that kerfuffle, we then watched the same girl that served us, video another patron (which is highly illegal) through the dessert cabinet for her own entertainment. Maybe if it's your local you'd have more good experiences than bad, but as one visiting this pub for the first time I won't be back unless there is an unmissable event.

Came for some food and watch the Karaoke and have a beer. Found a poor bar setup and staff policy, you can not order food from the bar staff, the dining room ordering area is a fair walk passed toilet and all the way around the other bar sides from the main bar area since you can't walk both ways round the middle bar. It's a hassle when you have to do three trips to bring the plates around and the staff won't or are not permitted to pass food order over to the main bar side. (There were others whom are regulars that said this is a new policy, but eating at the bar on this side wasn't me doing something unusual for the place) Tried to order loaded wedges from the menu but that was an old menu, ordered loaded fries and cheesy bacon garlic bread. chips were undercooked and it was not real cheese.
