Landhaus Christina — Hotel in Alpbach

There were 8 of us staying in the top floor apartment at Landhaus Christina. Our ninth person had his own room one floor down. It worked perfectly for our group with 3 en-suite bathrooms and two sleeping on beds in the living room. ||We flew to Innsbruck and took public transport to Alpbach... bus from airport to Innsbruck HBF train station (15 mins) - train from HBF to Brixlegg (40 mins) bus from there up to Alpbach (20 mins and goes once an hr... hurry and you will hop right on it from the train arrival). Diana who manages the apartment sent us a very helpful email telling us where to get off the bus. The stop is right by Conny's Ski Hire and we booked in advance and went straight in to be fitted ready for the next day. It was relaxed and there were no crowds so we had immediate and undivided attention. They were happy for us to leave our skis and boots in there - so we went upstairs to the fabulous bar where we met up with all our friends....and didn't even head up to Christina's for 2 hrs!||The apartment is along a flat road for 100m and turn right up a slope for 100m - all very easy and close (without ski boots on!) The apartment had everything you need and the view from the lovely balcony is straight down across the village to the church with the mountains in the background. We had a big fondue night one evening (Spa Supermarket - easy walk) and Diana has promised that they will be getting a fondue set as we were the third group to request one. We did manage to borrow however. ||The dining table was big enough to seat 12 people but was very rickety and really needs replacing.||There are two lovely double en-suite rooms that open onto the front balcony and one smaller one at the back - which also has its own balcony and an en-suite.||The only down side was the grumpy residents living below who complained at every opportunity about unreasonable things (we were a 'mature' and considerate group )||A free bus pass came with the appt and the system works well getting to all the different gondolas. I have been to many ski resorts and Alpbach was relaxed, uncrowded and easy...no queues at the lifts. A...

Booked this Apartment directly with owner Ms. Juliet Cussens.||||It was an wonderful experience from start to finish.||Juliet is a super host, made us feel very welcome and actually walked with us to the village and showed us around the evening we arrived.||The apartment is very fresh, clean, functional, quite and very comfortable. ||It suited our group of 2 adults and 2 children to perfection, but could easily accommodate 2 more adults. The property is approx 4 minutes to bars, restaurants, pharmacy and grocery shop.||||I would highly recommend this host and property to a friend!!||Billy...
