Great friendly hotel. My daughter got a stomach bug on the travel to get here. They recommended a local doctor to help and washed her clothes for her where she had gotten sick all over them. The kids loved the bunk beds. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Internet connectivity was great as well had no problem making calls and doing games on the Wifi. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone in the area. It is off the beaten path so it is very quiet at night with great majestic views of the Alps especially in the dining area. When we left the last day before breakfast they packed up some sandwiches for us to eat on the road.
The only complaint I have isn't against the hotel but more against the lifestyle in Europe. The rooms have no central air which I am fine with so we sleep with windows open. Everything there is fine. But for half the stay we had smokers below us who once an hour through the night would be smoking on their balcony below us and our room would fill with smoke. So the choice was to have the room conditioned or be able to breath. It was very frustrating. The smoking laws need to be more restrictive in...
Read moreWe spent a week of winter holiday here. And we do recommend the place to anyone, also to families with kids. Apart from the kid's corner, swimming pool and outside playground the young guests are truly welcomed by all the staff members. I am bit picky as it comes to the food, and we had HB. But it was OK, they met my expectations. We either had vegetarian option in the dinner's menu or we could pick from the restaurant's menu. The rooms are spacy, bit old fashioned but clean, tidy and cozy. The relax corner (swimming pool/sauna) is perfectly designed, clean, great. And what distinguishes the place from the others is outstanding customer service, especially when we were just considering the place and required more details about skiing slops, ski-school, ski-rental. They are responsive and...
Read moreWe stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting friends in Lienz. It is a well run guesthouse with comfortable rooms and the proprietors and staff were very pleasant. Breakfasts were very good. The set menu (only a choice of two main courses) for the evening meal on a half board basis was great value relative to the cost of Bed and breakfast only, and the quality was excellent. As there was a heat wave with afternoon temperatures of 30C up to 35C during our stay the unheated swimming pool was very welcome and the facility to hire good standard cycles at the Guesthouse was also useful - we could cycle into Lienz in about 15 to 20 minutes. Although not relevant to our stay this is a good base for families with children. There is a sauna but we did...
