Boutique Hotel Hohes Licht — Hotel in Gemeinde Damüls

This was our first time to Damuls & we were not disappointed. Manuela who owns & runs this establishment also has a 3 bedroom apartment for rent to families. We stayed there for a week & really enjoyed it. The apartment is equipped with everything you could want. 3 bedrooms sleep 6 people.|The view from the apartment is simply stunning! Nature & fresh air at its best. There are a ton of things to do foe families such as hiking, sight seeing, flying fox & suspended rope park for kids. You are only 45 min from Switzerland border so we also went to Zurich for lunch one day! |The only downfall is that there is only 1 bathroom & washing machine is located in the building basement & costs €1 per 2hrs. If you forget to take washing out before time runs out, you must put in €1 again just to open the door! |Note to people driving to Damuls.....DO NOT drive the road through Laterns! It is a very small & narrow mountain road, only big enough for single car but it is 2 way road. Instead, go through Bregenz or Bludens & then through town of Au. You definitely DO NOT want to take the road...

The host, husband (Rene) and wife (Manuela) pair, offered excellent hospitality and warm reception throughout my 6 nights stay at Hohes Licht... They speak good English, suitable for us (Singaporean)...

As hotel is newly renovated, this 4 star hotel is very good for families and couple alike, rooms are very clean and warm, protected well from the cold weather outside... With heated swimming pool, mini kids room, sauna room and spa, there are options for rest of non-skiing family members...

Total of 9 adults and 2 kids stayed during the 6 nights, all enjoyed the food (breakfast and dinner included), close proximity to the Bubby park (kids ski training area), Ski lifts and shops etc... During the Christmas eve, the host have special program with all guests, and had a short singing session, and also special dinner prepared... Local Wines, beers and schnaps are all very good, must order to try every night...

Certainly recommend this hotel for all my friends and relatives, for a good ski holiday... Tips: Book direct with host for...

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights here. We received a very warm welcome on arrival from the lovely owners/Managers. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. It also had the advantage of a balcony and the views were stunning. The Hotel offers free wifi too. You are able to ski directly out of the Hotel which is fantastic.The evening meals were excellent and also catered for vegetarians. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a wide variety of choice which was very good. There is a small bar in the Hotel which has a friendly atmosphere. The Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The pool and surrounding area is fantastic where you are able to chill and relax. There is also a sauna and steam room. All staff where extremely polite and helpful.
