I have stayed at the Hubertushof whilst skiing for the last ten years. When run by Heike and Heinz, it was beautifully managed hotel, was welcoming and had a supr family feeling. It changed hands in for 2023/24 so ignore all reviews prior to then. I highlight the following issues in my last stay:|Lack of consideration for customers/Rude staff| - The new manager has no empathy for the customers, no approachability and is generallly unhelpful. When challenged, he is positively hostile.| - This attitude has trickled down to the other staff. They are unhelpful, slow and largely untrained. Many of them do not speak English. | - The staff and their friends do like to dominate the bar area after supper however, which is wholly inappropriate. | - One barmaid was intent on belittling and humiliating my 15 year old son in front of her colleagues and friends. The manager was dismissive when informed. | - Even the cleaning staff are intent on hoovering outside room doors at 7:45am, regardless of "Do not disturb" signs.||The food quality has dropped drammatically| - The hotel still offers a 5 course supper every evening. The soup is inedible. An exceptionally watery, tasteless smoked trout soup was disgusting. | - The range of salad options on the buffet has diminished and is now very basic, limited and unerwhelming.| - Main courses are bland and unimaginative and lack green vegetables.| - Even the meal for late arrivals (after 9pm which is hardly late) was poor - some cold meats straight out of the packet and a limited selection of cheese. ||It is such a shame that this wonderfully located hotel has declined so rapidly and spectacularly. I do hope a management change is in the offing to return the hotel to what it once was. If not, I recommend...
Read moreGreat staff, great food, a nice pool/sauna area, ski-in and ski-out, close to a railway station (5 minute drive), faultless cleanlisess and nice bathrooms. I have sampled 3 different room types and all were highly satisfactory. The hotel is in a quiet village location but there are a small number of resaturants/bars closeby if you chose not to remain in the hotel all night. The only disappointing matter, which is entirely outside of the hotel's control is that if skiing outside of the immediate area, the only route back to Stuben is by using the Blue 100 piste. This is challenging for a blue because as it is the only rounte back and by the afternoon it is heavily churned and is virtually unskiiable. Our party, which had a mix of abilities, resported to catching taxis back from other villages in order to avoind injury...

We were very lucky to get an upgrade and we really enjoyed our stay every minute. We stayed at the Lodge and had a two bedroom apartment with a private sauna. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and make you feel welcome. The food was delicious and lots of variety both at breakfast as well as dinner. The wellness center with the sky pool is such a luxury to relax after a long day on the slopes or during the day if the weather is a bit cloudy. We definitely want...
