The title says it all. I have visited many ski resort accommodations in my 60+ years. Never has one fitted our family requirements so perfectly. We booked four rooms at Haus Stefan; an excellent decision! Three of my adult children, two with their partners and I had very comfortable rooms with plenty of space and storage as well as our own en-suite bathrooms. All rooms had double beds and excellent controllable heating. Two rooms were fitted with kitchens allowing us all to eat together and meet up for meals, games or just to sit and spend time together. There are lovely touches around a much cared for family home, such as lights both inside and out being activated by sensors, removing the worries of light switch positions in an unfamiliar environment. The boot room had heated elements to dry ski boots overnight and the on-site parking is plentiful. ||||Our hosts were wonderful. Caterina and her husband spoke perfect English making up for our ‘getting by in a bar’ German. From the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure, the whole family including grandparents and two little ones, were just lovely. Helpful when needed but politely unobtrusive, allowing us to get on with our early rises to get to the slopes at Solden about a 10 minute drive away. Any rubbish was removed from our rooms each day and a gentle tidy and bed making made sure you felt you were being spoilt. ||||Walking from the house the very nearby facilities include a well stocked village supermarket, about four or five bars and restaurants, a cash point, a ski hire shop and the ski bus stop. There is a garage 4 minutes waway on the road to Solden for drivers. ||||We all loved our time at House Stefan. A truly unique and very special...
