This is the second time we have used this hotel. Since the first visit the rooms have had air conditioning added and meals are now served in the evening as well as at lunchtime. The air conditioning was particularly useful as this part of Austria had a heatwave of 35-40 degrees whilst we were there. The owner Christa is attentive and nothing seems to be to much trouble for her. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and have flat screen TVs. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet and the station with trains to Graz and Slovenia is 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast is served either in the garden or the breakfast room and has everything you could want (8 sorts of meat; 6 sorts of cheese; fresh and dried fruit; cereals; cakes; jams different types of bread; eggs etc) The meals are typically Austrian and are well cooked and presented. If you are looking for a trip to Austria I would not hesitate to...
Read moreLeibnitz is a small town, so it was a given that it wouldn't be noisy.(It's a lovely town and we enjoyed strolling through it.)||We were given a studio apartment for the price - which was modest already - of a normal room. The studio was beautiful, with all the amenities - except a kitchen, which we didn't need. ||Everything was clean and super comfortable. ||Breakfast is standard fare, with no warm items out, but perhaps they could be ordered. ||The hotel is family-owned and they are the nicest people! They seemed to want to do everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible.||Restaurants are not easy to find, but there is a very user-friendly map on the door of the reception listing and indicating all the restaurants in the area.||No problems,...
Read moreWe were en route with a family of 5 to Croatia looking for a quick stop-over. We knew we would be arriving late and staying only one night. None of it was a problem. Our lovely, spacious and light room had an access via an outside staircase so we could get in at night without disturbing anyone (although the friendly lady owner insisted we call her if we can't find the access to the room.) The accommodation was great, really spacious, the breakfast offered the greatest variety I had ever had, including fresh blueberries. The little town we did not even plan to visit appeared very appealing and could be worth a day's stay. We will be definitely come back next time for...
