fantastic, high quality breakfast spread €15 extra|+ clean hotel|- unclean room (1 maid was clearly overwhelmed working alone for full occupancy hotel/Pension)|- after 3 days, I had to empty my own overflowing bin once|+ good internet|+ pretty, sweet, Austrian decor: lovely|+ use of sitting room for conference calls|+ free bike usage, electric or regular |+ bus close, short-ish trip to town centre - but Not to central train station |+ 1 very friendly staff member ♡|- Other reviews have already detailed the owner's attitude - I don't need to add||- paper thin curtain with rips which meant sunrise woke me every morning! |(Definitely not a feature any good hotel should be cheap with - bad sleep affects everything negatively)|- I did not feel valued as a paying guest (& in AU$ it was very expensive for me)||- my room was vacuumed maximum 2× during 18 days - a bread crust remained there 11 days|- sheets changed only 2× during my long stay - & only because I insisted |- owner did not believe me when informed linen was 7 days old (as a very frequent traveller, I definitely know how to monitor this)|- policy was 3-4 days frequency of linen change - Don't Stay Here Beyond 4 Days! You'll be very happy, then!|+ towels changed on request (as often as you wish)|+ toilet cleaned daily - but Not sink!||- hot room even for October |- mosquitoes despite insect screen|- single room was tiny (I hit my legs often on bed/low cupboards - my bruises can attest)|- desk was barely big enough to eat a meal on|- broken light closest to table was never fixed|- smelly, hard single pillow (I did get another from maid, even though she spoke only Spanish)|- traffic noises (with door tilted to alleviate heat, noise was obviously worse) (ask for room at back - but note, then you hear guests' cars on gravel)|- open door/window also lets cigarette smoke in from smokers below|- no air con (summer??)||Frankly, I cannot fathom all the positive reviews - except to assume they all stayed less than 4 nights|I obviously stayed too long and saw too much - as well as the good bits, which I...

Hello gentle travelers, ||At the Bloberger Hof, Salzburg feels like a secret lullaby sung softly by the mountains. Nestled just beyond the city’s bustle, this pension weaves together warmth and charm in every corner. The bus stop is but a gentle stroll away, carrying you swiftly into the heart of Mozart’s city, yet here, peace lingers like a trusted friend.||The rooms are bright and welcoming, with touches that speak of a family’s pride. What lingers most, however, is the kindness—a staff who notice the little things, who offer help like it is second nature, who make you feel not like a guest but like someone returning home.||Evenings are best savored in the dining room, where local dishes arrive at the table rich with flavor and authenticity. Each bite feels like Salzburg’s story told on a plate—fresh, hearty, and made with genuine care.||There is a rhythm to staying here: the convenience of the city at your doorstep, the tranquility of the countryside enveloping you, and the joy of being cared for in such an attentive way. Bloberger Hof is not just a place to stay—it is a Salzburg memory beautifully written.||That having been said, the rooms do not have air conditioning not unlike many hotels so the summer months might be sticky. And the showers are like one would encounter on a...

The Bloberger Hotel is a quaint stay located just outside Salzburg. Our double room was a spacious 39 square meters and included a small refrigerator, sofa, double bed and balcony with a view of the mountains. The hotel and the rooms are extremely clean and well kept. There was always sufficient hot water and water pressure. Driving to the city center is no more than eight (8) minutes. Free parking on site. The nicest thing is you feel as if you are in the country. There is fresh air and you can hear the faint sound of cows mooing in the distance. You can take public transportation to and from the city center. However, we drove. If you drive, be careful with the speed cameras on the road to the city center. I would stay again without any reservations. Service, Cleanliness, Breakfast, and Quality for the money are all Five Stars!

Two additional things to mention: The pillows are big, they are not bad, just different from what I am accustomed to using. Snoopy is the resident canine. He is sweet, calm, and quite. I wish he belonged to me. If someone is allergic to dogs, this might...

We loved everything about this hotel! The room was clean and beautiful. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel was dog friendly , although we kept our dog in the room for breakfast and dinner upon request which we were happy with. The view from our room was spectacular and a lovely way to wake up each day. The breakfast was excellent and couldn’t wish for a better start to the morning. There was a wide selection. I believe the dining room has been recently renovated and it was beautiful. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was such a very tasty and relaxing experience that we chose to return the following evening for dinner also. We would recommend a price list for daily specials. We would love to return to the hotel again in a different season. We imagine it would also be a great experience. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk and it is around 15-20 minutes to get to the centre of Salzburg. Around 40 minutes to the HBF with one bus change. We also bought a 24hr bus ticket from the hotel reception. The family owners are very friendly. Thank you.

Fantastic place to stay in Salzburg. A little out of the city center but it is worth the 15 Euro taxi to get out here. Beautiful views of the countryside and mountains. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The family is very friendly and helpful. About 1km from the home is great walking trails through the country. The restaurant has amazing home cooked meals for dinner at fair prices. Breakfast is also very good and is included in your stay.

This place is incredible. My husband and I felt so at home and the family atmosphere is very apparent. The hotel is big enough to feel private, but small enough to make friends with the other guests. The family is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It is easy to tell this is truly 3 generations of hospitality. We will be coming back to Salzburg, and when we do, we will only stay at the Bloberger Hof.
