A very local place outside the city buzz, a 10 min walk from where I was staying, in the outskirts of the city of Salzburg, near the Untersberg mountain. Make sure to reserve before hand, since it’s only open on specific days and sometimes have private events. I had to try their specialty, the owner recommended the stuffed schnitzel, pork is usually way to salty for my taste but the dish was absolutely delicious, washed down with a Radler. We visited it in a busy Saturday evening (with the restaurant fully boked - we had a late reservation at 8 pm) and we ordered four different dishes, not so complicated: a Wienner Schnitzel, a fried trout, a Gordon bleu and Salzburger Bratwurst. Leaving behind that it took abouk 45 minutes, the Salzburgers were sold out (which they didn't mentioned) so they fried a couple of Frankfurters, and the trout was much to greasy. Desert was good.

Read moreThis place is the best. Very welcoming and friendly, very accommodating to us being vegetarians, and - most importantly - the food is to die for.
Not only are the flavors exquisit, the portions are also huge. I would recommend skipping both breakfast and lunch before going here, as it is quite heartbreaking to have the waitress take your half-finished plate away after you absolutely can't manage to eat another bite.
Finding this restaurant was a godsend and one of the highlights...
