A very local place outside the city buzz, a 10 min walk from where I was staying, in the outskirts of the city of Salzburg, near the Untersberg mountain. Make sure to reserve before hand, since it’s only open on specific days and sometimes have private events. I had to try their specialty, the owner recommended the stuffed schnitzel, pork is usually way to salty for my taste but the dish was absolutely delicious, washed down with a Radler. Quite a good portion, still went for a desert though could only eat a few bites, only to say I have tried the local desert, the Kaiserschamarrn, basically scrambled pancake with raisins.

Amazing experience. Definitely coming back. Located 20ish minutes away from downtown Salzburg, they offer authentic Austrian cuisine. Steak dishes were flavorful. Salads were nicely seasoned. Wine’s after-taste perfectly complemented the entree dishes. Another pros: there are ample AirBnb around this area and the area offers beautiful scenery. Highly recommend visiting this area just to dine here

Had such a great time at this lovely little family-run Austrian restaurant! The food was super tasty, good portions, and really great value for money. The family who runs it are so sweet and made me feel really welcome. The whole place has a cosy, homely vibe — perfect for a relaxed meal. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Reiterhof Moos is a traditional restaurant with friendly prices.

We visited it in a busy Saturday evening (with the restaurant fully boked - we had a late reservation at 8 pm) and we ordered four different dishes, not so complicated: a Wienner Schnitzel, a fried trout, a Gordon bleu and Salzburger Bratwurst. Leaving behind that it took abouk 45 minutes, the Salzburgers were sold out (which they didn't mentioned) so they fried a couple of Frankfurters, and the trout was much to greasy. Desert was good.

I am sorry, 3* is...

This place is the best. Very welcoming and friendly, very accommodating to us being vegetarians, and - most importantly - the food is to die for.

Not only are the flavors exquisit, the portions are also huge. I would recommend skipping both breakfast and lunch before going here, as it is quite heartbreaking to have the waitress take your half-finished plate away after you absolutely can't manage to eat another bite.

Finding this restaurant was a godsend and one of the highlights...
