My Second Home in Dornbirn | |I’m a returning guest at this hotel and, once again, I had the pleasure of staying here—this time accompanied by my sister. As always, the moment I walked through the door, I felt like I was back home. The level of service this hotel provides is consistently outstanding — there are never any disappointments, because you know exactly what to expect from each department: professionalism, warmth, and a willingness to help with whatever you may need. That kind of reliability and hospitality is truly rare.| |My experience started with a smile right upon arrival. It was one of the smoothest and most comfortable check-ins I’ve ever had, as I was able to park directly in the spacious hotel garage, which offers direct access to both the lobby and the rooms — a priceless convenience, especially when traveling with an elderly person. At the front desk, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionists, as well as Prochor, the Rooms Division Manager, who always takes a moment to greet me personally.| |It was also a pleasure to finally meet Marian, the Guest Relations Manager, after exchanging several emails with her before my arrival. She introduced herself in a genuinely kind and friendly way — it truly felt like we already knew each other.| |My rooms were ready upon arrival, and I was able to settle in immediately — something I always appreciate after a journey. I would especially like to highlight the excellent front desk team who assisted us with such warmth, professionalism, and constant smiles: Melisa, Oksiyan, Celina, Jihan, Eileen, Dilara, Amina, and Dilara. They were all exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay.|I also want to recognize Eric, Front Office Manager, for his ongoing presence, availability, and strong leadership, which clearly helps maintain such a high standard of guest service.| |And of course, Deborah from Sales & Marketing, who didn't hesitate for a second to greet me in perfect Italian — a gesture that made me feel right at home from the very start. It's that kind of detail that truly makes a difference.| |The breakfast deserves a chapter of its own. As someone who regularly stays at many of Marriott’s luxury brands around the world, I can confidently say that it’s rare to find a breakfast offering as excellent as the one at this hotel. The quality of the food is simply top notch and locally sourced, the buffet is always spotless, and the staff replenishes everything quickly and attentively.| |Mandy, the breakfast team leader, welcomes you every morning with a beaming smile and contagious energy. The same goes for Nick, who adds to the warm and friendly atmosphere right from the start. Within the service team, there are three true “sunshines”: Monika, Eslem, and Adrian. Each of them shows remarkable attention to detail and a natural kindness that truly elevates the experience.| |And I can’t forget Sybille and Zlatko from the kitchen team — they make the best fried eggs and omelets I’ve ever had. A perfect start to the day, every day.| |Another highlight of the hotel is the Gastro Counter restaurant. The food is truly tasty, with bold, well-balanced flavors and quality you can taste in every bite. My compliments go to Markus, the Head Chef, for the outstanding work he delivers day after day. The ingredients are always fresh and high-quality, and the portions are generous — it's practically impossible to leave hungry.| |Special thanks also to Vincenzo, whose dishes, with that distinctive Italian touch, made me feel right at home. His passion for cooking is evident, and you can taste it in every plate.| |Service at Gastro Counter is flawless, thanks to the amazing team led by Geny, who ensures the whole experience runs smoothly. I’d like to highlight Amber and Ameneh in particular — their attention to detail and high level of professionalism are admirable. Amber always greets you with a calm, friendly demeanor, creating a peaceful and welcoming environment, while Ameneh brings a level of consistency and precision that rounds out the dining experience perfectly.| |Another area that absolutely deserves praise is the Wellness Area, which quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. This is the only hotel where I’ve found the temperature of both the indoor and outdoor pools to be absolutely perfect. Being able to move from one to the other without going outside is a luxury — especially on chillier days.| |It never feels crowded, there's enough space for everyone, and the atmosphere is serene and relaxing — exactly what you want after a long, active day. None of this would be possible without Petra, who takes care of every detail with remarkable dedication. Nothing is ever missing, the cleanliness is impeccable, and it’s clear that thoughtful management lies behind the comfort of the guests.| |The overall design of the hotel, and especially the rooms, is simply outstanding. The spaces are elegant, functional, and inviting — perfect for relaxing from the very first moment. The bed is incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing restful nights, the amenities are well-curated, and the beautiful views from the room were a daily highlight.| |The cleanliness throughout our stay was flawless. I’d like to extend my special thanks to Suheyla and Arzu from the housekeeping team, who kept our room in perfect condition with discretion, friendliness, and outstanding attention to detail. Their service is absolutely on par with the high level of the hotel.| |And finally, I’d like to make a very special mention of Mr Rui, the Hotel Manager, who is without a doubt the person who makes everything I’ve just described possible. Even before our arrival, Rui went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of so that both my sister and I could enjoy a truly perfect stay. His dedication, warmth, and commitment to excellence are reflected in every corner of the hotel and in every member of the team.| |A heartfelt thank you to Mr Rui and to the entire team for an unforgettable experience. Location (did not change from my previous stay of course): The location is a bit outside of town but that makes the hotel easy to reach via the Autobahn and if you want to see the surrounding area, you are in a great location. A mall and the exhibition center are within walking distance.

Check-In: A major improvement from the first time I was here. Very friendly service, attentive and well spoken. One room was not ready, which was no problem as we arrived early, so we waited in the other room. We were told my room would be ready in 20-30 minutes and after roughly 25 minutes my room was ready. That was great. We were asked about breakfast and late checkout, so all was covered.

Room: This time our rooms were on the seventh floor. One regular room and one corner suite. Both clean from what I can tell and very nice. The negative was, that the internet did not work in my room, so I was either out of range or something else was up. The same for the phone in my room. It was not working and I was told, nobody way there during the weekend to fix it.

View: Still a stunning view from the rooftop bar and even from my room. Cleanliness: Room, hotel, Spa and Pool are super clean. Not sure about details in terms of germs or anything, but just visually everything is pristine.

Amenities: Standard lotion, soap and mouthwash already in the room. Everything you need. In my Suite, I had tons of lotion which was almost enough to take a bath in.

Room Service: Did not use it

Breakfast: Very nice breakfast on the 11th floor. All your standard foods from cereal to bread to warm, American style breakfast. Juices, water, coffee and tea was available.

Staff: Almost perfect. Check in was perfect, the ladies that worked at the bar in the evening were very friendly and attentive. The young gentleman which I reported the phone issue to must have been new. You can handle it a bit different than just saying there is nobody available on the weekend.

Concierge Service: Not available

All over all: The hotel looks out of place in Dornbirn but in itself it is a great hotel. I had one negative experience though. Almost across from room 705, which was one of our rooms, is a service room. With the seventh floor being a non smoking floor, you can smell when the employees smoke in that room when you walk by. This is very unpleasant for any guest, so I hope they can...
