Hotel Stroblerhof — Hotel in Strobl

We are a family of four- two parents and two teenagers (14 and 16). We booked this hotel for three nights near Wolfgang see on booking.com. The price was relatively high, and it didn’t include breakfast. In general, we book two rooms with one double bed for the parents, and two single beds for our kids (boy and girl). According to the description on booking.com, this hotel was exactly for us. We arrived at the hotel, and found out that there are no single beds as described, and only are two beds one above another, but not bunk. The distance between the beds is a joke (as you can see in the pictures). The lower bed is suitable only for a child under 5 years old. If you are higher than 1 meter, you would not be able to fold your legs, or to turn around in bed during your sleep. This night was the most horrible night we ever had. Also, the upper bed wasn’t secured at all. Few minutes after we arrived at the room, we immediately informed the hotel manager that we need to change the room. The managers (wife and husband) told us that there are no other options, and we cannot cancel the reservation. In the morning, after the most horrible night we’ve ever had, the managers didn’t have any other options for us. They didn’t even apologized. They claimed that the Booking.com description of the room was not correct (2 single beds) and that the correct description (bunk beds) was sent to the site but not featured in it. They told us that this is Booking.com’s fault and not theirs that is why the only thing they can do is to charge us for full price for 1 night 270 euro + taxes(I was surprised that if you book directly the price of this room is 220 euro only)We asked to pay 220 euro but managers refused-they told us that they have to pay to booking.com so they can not reduce the price. Again, no apologies-nothing ! They even did not offer breakfast to us -we paid the full price for breakfast (50 euro!) and left the hotel very...

This is the PERFECT hotel! I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars, if possible.||||Our rooms were comfortable and affordable. We booked a suite, which was located in a separate part of the hotel so it was quiet and private. The room was elegant. Nice bathroom, towels, plenty of outlets. No complaints here. ||||The staff was a joy! Everyone would greet you with a smile and a greeting whenever they saw you. The person at the front desk was always thrilled to help and give suggestions. This is a family-run business, so the staff knew each other and the teamwork was evident. They are all emotionally invested in this hotel and the extra effort and dedication show. ||||The Strobler Hof offers a full breakfast in the morning. You could not get anything better at any restaurant. Every item was delicious and beautifully presented. There were fresh bread, fruit, cheese and well as the largest assortment of quality teas I have ever seen. The head chef would walk around and offer to make you any dish you wanted.||||The building itself is very classic looking. It is not laid out like a normal commercial hotel which just adds to its charm. The decor is very "Austrian" meaning there is game on the walls and finished wood details. There is a large side yard with a swing set and toys for children. There is a small pool and a fitness center. ||||The location is perfect! It is not in the center of town so there is limited traffic and limited noise. But the lakeside is literally a one minute walk away! The Strobler Hof has a private dock on Wolfgangsee so you are guaranteed a place to put your things. They provide long chairs. There is a wooden float you can swim out to.||||Please consider the Strobler Hof if you are thinking of traveling to Strobl! It is the best...

Spent 12 days in july,we were 2 families with 2 kids each and we had a wonderful,relaxing,enjoyable holiday.Entire property is kept spotless,each detail is considered,owners are doing great job to satisfy their customers.Breakfast is one of the most amazing that l ve ever encountered,is not only plentifull,is fresh,is served both inside and outside near the pool and the staff always polite and in a hurry to please everybody.We booked also the dinner and and were so happy we did so.We were spoiled each evening with different menu,we were even asked mornings what we would like to eat in the evening.And the table reserved for us each evening was in a stunning location with a great relaxing view.The rooms are spatious with plenty of space to deposit clothes,very clean and modern toilets,clean and quality sheets and towels and ours had a kitchen equiped with everything you may think of.l would like to thank you dear staff from the bottom of our heart for making possible such a perfect holiday.Definetily recomanded for position,accommodation,restaurant,garden,pool and fantastic staff to either families with kids or without.Thank you,wish you all the best and we will return some...
