No experience of the hotel but we did have dinner in the restaurant and we did choose to sit indoors and only one more table had guests, took about 15 min for us to have a menu and we did ask for the winemenu and was presented with a drinkmenu of only wine by the glass and I did read that if we want wine by the bottle please ask for the whole winemenu which took another 10 min before it did arrive. We did order a bottle of Austrian Red wine which was ok and we both did eat local fish both fresh and good. As we did sit inside and saw that there was table just outside our table overlooking Lake Wolfgang we asked if we after our meal could reserv a table there for additional drinks we were told no reservation was possible there, and as i do understand most folks sitting there just with one beer I was surprised that they could not give us a table there as one of the few paying guest actually spending money on food and wine! Food was I told fresh and good but service was almost invisible! This was almost the only place opened on a Wednesday in May or other 3 places we wanted to visited had Ruhetag (Closed on wednesdays) Very quite...
Read moreWe had room number 3 on the first floor which overlook s the terrace (middle). On the left side you see the lake but even better on the right side is the street and the hotel across the street also overlooking the street and .. you! This is however still considered a Lake View Room. The problem with this room is that it is above the breakfast room. As soon as they start preparing breakfast (around 7) you hear the noise and as off 8, when people start having their breakfast, you can forgot about sleeping some more (unless you are a really sound sleeper). Having said that, the room is light and clean, no complaints there. The choice for breakfast is not big but for a weekend it'll do. Maybe scrambled eggs or something are available when asked, it was not mentioned anywhere. Service polite and they make a great Hugo. A plate with bread/ cheese/ cold meat was prepared for us when we arrived (late) which was very kind. There is no parking lot but plenty room to park at...
Read moreWe were 6 soaking cyclists in need of sustenance - and quick - and we were given the utmost care and attention when we arrived. Despite dripping, we were sat down promptly from where we could sort ourselves out. Sadly, having arrived at 2.10pm we missed the proper lunch menu, and then could only choose from goulash sou, cheese and ham toastie or sausages. We all plumped for the goulash soup at E4.90. Not the biggest portion, but very tasty. We all had 2! The waiter was charming and ever helpful.||Tea was E2.40, and...
