Hotel Mosermandl — Hotel in Untertauern

We visited Sudtirol in January and stayed in a double room for a week. The hotel is very well located on a small hill in the centre of Obertauern and close to the lifts. There is only one supermarket SPAR in Obertauern and it's 5-7 minutes away, which is also OK. ||||The main problem with Sudtirol is that it seems quite old and in need of renovation. The corridors are dark, smelly and covered with quite old floor. The rooms are decorated with old furniture and the floor (although covered with new carpet) is so old that it creaks when you walk on it. You can also hear your neighbours walking in the room above. Fortunately, the bathroom in our room was renovated and looked nice and new. The same refers to the mattress in our bad which was really comfortable.||||Many rooms on the first floor give a very limited view over the mountains because most balconies overlook the neighbouring hotel. It's probably better to have a room on the second floor. The balconies are also in bad shape with paint coming off the walls.||||The hotel is not decorated in typical austrian style. It is more like a mountain refuge decorated in a rather chaotic style with Buddha statues mixed with Christmas decoration and different souvenirs offered for sale all over the place.||||The food was quite good for a 3-star standard and the service was very nice. The owner and the staff were very friendly and helped us whenever we needed assistance. The waiter from Hungary who served our table always did an extra mile to make us happy and was extremely professional.||||Overall, Sudtirol is a place with great potential but some renovation and interior re-decoration (maybe a female touch would help:-) is required to give guests full...

Obertauern..... high up in the Salzburger Alps.... always plenty of snow....what a great ski resort! We were happy to have chosen Obertauern for our annual ski holidays, and we were even more happy with the hotel we booked: Hotel Südtirol (small, I think 22 rooms). Hans and his staff will grant you with a warm welcome, a comfortable, clean, quiet and warm room, and last but not least: the food is abolutely great! We enjoyed the half board every day!||You don't need car or skibus to reach the slopes: you can step in the Obertauern ski carroussel at just 100 m from the hotel.||The hotel also features a small but well kept spa area with sauna and steam bath, and of course a room to store you ski's and boots.||We felt so good we will...

Wir waren für das Skiopening 2012 eine Nacht im Hotel Südtirol. Der Chef wie auch das gesamte Team sind sehr freundlich uns man fühlt sich von Anfang an sehr wohl im Hotel.|| ||Wie schon beschrieben ist das Hotel zwar schon etwas älter, aber das stört in keinster Weise. Man hat schon überall angefangen zu modernisieren und das Hotel ist sehr sauber und noch absolut gut in Schuss. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und die Bäder sind schon neu gestaltet. Alles ist sehr sauber und es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Der Speiseraum ist wirklich sehr gemütlich und lädt zum Genießen ein. ||||Das Abendessen (wir hatten mit HP gebucht) war dann auch noch der Knaller!!! Für ein 3 Sterne Haus war das wirklich TOP. Als servierte Vorspeise gab es Prosciutto mit Melone, dann eine Riesenbackerbsensuppe und reichlich Salate vom Buffet. Bei der Hauptspeise konnte man zwischen „Original Kasnudeln“ und „Piccata Milanese“ wählen und als Abschluss zum Dessert wurde dann noch ein Maracuja- Parfait serviert. Alles war sehr schön angerichtet und schmeckte lecker!!! Ein großes Lob an die Küche!!!|| ||Die Lage ist zwar nicht direkt mitten im Zentrum von Obertauern, aber man ist sofort auf der Piste und kann auch am Abend direkt bis zum Hotel mit den Skiern abfahren. Die „Lürzer-Alm“ und die „Latschn-Alm“ sind ca. 8min zu Fuß entfernt und von der „Edelweiss-Alm“ kann man direkt bis zum Hotel abfahren!!! Skistall und Skischuhraum sind natürlich auch vorhanden und das Hotel hat sogar noch einen kleinen Saunabereich, der auch wirklich sehr schön ausgeschaut hat!!!|| ||Also wer in Obertauern etwas günstiger Urlaub machen will und dabei auf Qualität nicht verzichten will ist im "Hotel Südtirol" genau richtig!!!
