Gartenhotel Lenzenhof — Hotel in Wildschönau

The hotel was pleasant, but we didn't feel very welcome there were loads of germans staying and Austrian's, but no english. There was only one good english speaking member of staff. However I don't fault this hotel because of this, I think I should make people aware as its very intimidating. Food is very good all cooked fresh and local we loved that. The one person who spoke good english was really good. The rooms could do with a refurbishment however I think the decor is the same in most hotels in this area. But generally it wasn't for us. We didn't get it on with the skiing and found the hotel was boring, no WIFI in the room, only downstairs and no english TV. The location is near a SPAR and supermarket and garage. Parking is trickly and probably really hard in the snow if you don't have a 4x4. Luckily when we went it didn't snow but there was ice everywhere it was horrible. You won't get to this hotel without 4 wheel drive. Don't go up the steep road there is a more gradual...

Ideal place for an active summer vacation, after a breakfast with eggs, bread, cereal, coffee, tea you get into the mountains. And when you return in the afternoon play a game of tennis and take a swim in the pool and relax. Dinner was simple, good but not great, 3 course with choice of main for meat or vegetarian and different each day. Missed the fish during the week and deserts could have been better cooled. The rooms are somewhat outdated but clean, spacey and a good shower. The mattresses in our room had different heights, probably to prevent rolling to the other side 😉, but the hardness I liked. And last but certainly not least friendly people to give you a welcome and pleasant stay. So warmly...

wij zaten hier in de winter tijdens de jaarwisseling. We hadden een appartement aan de achterzijde. qua uitzicht niet zo mooi maar voor de winter prima. gezellig appartement (max 4 personen) waarvan er 2 op de slaapbank in de woonkamer slapen. Deze is dermate hard en ongelijk dat deze zeer dringend aan vervanging toe is.

Tevens is de badkamer aan vervanging toe maar, is op de douch kop ophanging na, wel acceptabel. renovatie van het sanitair zou volgens mij voor het hele hotel hoog op de agenda moeten staan. Maar eea lijkt wel schoon te zijn.

We waren met een groter gezelschap welke verspreid zaten over een 2e appartement en een tweepersoonskamer. Vooral die kamer had een mooi uitzicht, en wel een goede douch.

ontbijt is prima.

Diner is in deze periode (rond de jaarwisseling) een keuze menu (2 opties, welke je `s ochtends dient te kiezen). Op de eerste avond na was dit over het algemeen verrassend goed. De bediening oogt wat ongeorganiseerd een enkele keer wat.

De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is goed. Het is namelijk een zeer betaalbare optie vooral voor deze drukke en dus dure periode.

ondanks de beschreven aandachtspunten komen we terug. het eea geeft namelijk een gezellige huiselijke zweer op mooie locatie tov de skipistes (wel een auto nodig of een stuk redelijk stijl naar beneden lopen naar de hoofdweg...
