Title: Disappointing Experience: Lack of Coordination and Poor Service at The Grove Resort Bahrain

I booked a suite room at The Grove Resort Bahrain to celebrate my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations. Despite clear instructions provided during booking, the hotel failed to deliver on several key aspects, leaving us deeply disappointed. While I had requested room decoration as a surprise for my husband, they did not do any until the last minute. Only when I was 10 minutes away from check-in, I called to make sure everything was set right. Only at that time, the staff informs that no decoration has been done yet, and checking if I wanted a balloon decoration or something else. Furthermore, I had informed the reception in advance about expecting guests and was prepared to pay the required guest entry fees. However, the hotel staff inexplicably held up my guests for 45 minutes, refusing them entry and insisting on payment before allowing them to join us. This unnecessary delay caused frustration and inconvenience, requiring me to intervene personally to resolve the issue. Adding to our frustration, we were misled about the operating hours of the pool. Despite being informed that the pool would remain open until 7 pm, we were abruptly asked to leave at 6 pm, leaving us with only a brief window to enjoy the facility. This inconsistency in information and lack of communication reflects poorly on the hotel's management and staff. Overall, our experience at The Grove Resort Bahrain was marred by a lack of coordination, poor service, and misleading information. Also the breakfast they did not give proper information of during ramadan breakfast will be served in room and not buffet which was with limited options as we r vegetarians and it was not worth the expense we did. The staff appeared disorganised and uninformed, failing to deliver on basic expectations and detracting from what should have been a memorable celebration. We had hoped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, but instead, we left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Never...

When visiting Bahrain you expect things to be new, with much construction around. But once a place opens for business, it should perform like others around the world in terms of meeting the customers expectations.

Unfortunately the grove fails miserably at meeting customers expectations.

While it is relatively new, the apartment we had was open and spacious, with comfy beds and plenty of spare pillows. But when renting an apartment, the purpose would be to allow the option to cook from time to time. Without the kitchen, it would otherwise be a hotel suite.

Once checked in we quickly discovered that the kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, crockery and cutlery. This constitutes the entire inventory. So the aforementioned option of cooking is not one you can look forward to. Upon enquiring repeatedly, we were gifted a small frying pan and a medium sized pan. I advised the reception that we needed a number of other kitchen implements, but they simply looked bemused and confused.

The bathroom grout is heavily stained, the sea views turned out to be a view of a rather well built wall, no balcony furniture, a complete lack of character in the living area, and a very small beach area which came with free cigarette butts, nuts shells and empty packets.

All in all, you will have a vacation in a whitewashed apartment/villa, with no facility to prepare food, no on site restaurant (although they will serve a rather unimpressive breakfast in the tent), dirty beach, and not even an apology when you check out. Simply a "we look forward to seeing you again...".

Not bloody likely!

My advice, pay extra and stay...

Check in is at 4pm and Check out is at 12!! sharp!! The resort is nice and well taken care of , the apartment I booked (Andalucia) is spacious,  yet the toilet is kinda outdated,  lots of mold!!! They have nice infinity pool, yet it is so small in comparison with how huge the resort is , they have so many guests with small pool!! It gets crowded 😐

the beach is not clean at all, they have done nothing to make the beach area interesting,  they have kids area with water activities,  which is fine,  but it still looks small because of the number of families and kids around.

I did try their food , it was good and reasonably priced for a resort,  they have jet ski & boat rentals,  they have an outdoor restaurant with a very nice view , it was nice having dinner there. People working in Grove are nice in general. (not all of them are though)!!

They have basement parking which is very helpful and much needed in Bahrain's summer.

It's very hard to get clean towels 🤣, I asked for 4 and after some time he came back with 2 only and asked why?! And he said this is what they can offer now!! Well, people come here to swim in the pool and the beach!!! Get enough towels plz.

There is Dishwasher,  and of course no Dishwasher soap, there are few plates and utensils (see pics) but no pans or pots,  they provide it upon request!!!

One thing that made me enjoy my stay less is when u go have a shower in the apartment,  the water is hot/warm, they don't have cooling system for water!!

My overall experience was good but not great!!! I might come again but I am going to check if the toilet is mold free or...

Our stay at The Grove Resort from May 10th to 11th, 2024, marked the culmination of an exhilarating road trip from Qatar to Bahrain via the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Accompanied by 11 friends and traversing the desert landscape in three cars—a Patrol, Elantra, and Mercedes—the journey itself was a memorable adventure. However, our decision to push through without stopping for breaks tarnished the experience. In hindsight, pausing along the route to enjoy scenic spots like the sea, parks, or bridges would have alleviated the monotony of endless sand vistas, especially in Saudi Arabia. The stretch from the KSA border to Bahrain, with its captivating sea bridge, offered a welcome respite from the arid surroundings. Arriving in Bahrain, we found it to be stunning albeit more congested compared to Qatar, with traffic posing a notable challenge. Nevertheless, opting for The Grove Resort proved to be an excellent choice. The property's spacious villas provided ample room for our group, and the attentive room service enhanced our stay. While the swimming pool was somewhat petite, and the private beach was marred by pebbles and mud, limiting our enjoyment, we found the breakfast to be delectable. Though we dined outside for dinner, the quality of the morning meal left a positive impression. Overall, while The Grove Resort leans towards the pricier side, the overall experience was satisfactory, making it a worthwhile accommodation option in Bahrain.

A great place for calm retreat from busy life I booked a qurdaba villa. A specious villa with two floors with three bedrooms on the upper floor that come with their own bathrooms. The bottom include the living room and the kitchen and a small living room by the door. There is a background garden which can be accessed through the living room back door. There are deginated 2-spot parking for the villa. I only criticism is that the villa feels empty, a lot of vacant spaces that the few and small furniture cannot fill. Let us not talk about the very small tv has no channels working. The resort is very calm and quite. No load music at midnight. It has a beach and two swimming pools which are great. Life guards are useless. My kid qlmost hurt himself with the gaurd just sitting there doing nothing. There are boat activities. The gym is not too bad but I would rather go to the nearby gyms in the area for a good workout
