La Maison du Meunier — Hotel in Assesse

We stayed there having a wedding in the neighbourhood. We wanted a nice B&B and we found it!||||The owners are a nice Belgian couple who moved away from Brussels to the Ardennes in order to escape the hectic city life. They still have both their own jobs (one in Brussels, one in Wallonia) so they only manage their 3 rooms during the weekend. ||||The place is neat and clean, the room is fair enough, good bed, clean bathroom, everything as should be. ||||Breakfast was perfect: fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee or tea as they asked us the day before, a platter of cheese and charcuterie, a cup of strawberries, sandwiches, chocolate breads, braun bread, buns, homemade yoghurt, eggs. All quality food from the village or around. We had breakfast in their very nice and cosy living room. ||||They have a pool as well though with the weather we had, no chance we would have tested it unfortunately! ||||There are a couple of Michelin starred restaurants in the neighbourhood so those are good options for dinner at night. ||||140 euros a night is not cheap, but then we think we had value for money. ||||We never heard of that village before, but we can only strongly recommend this lovely place and their nice owners.||||As a only suggestion, bring your own soap and shampoo for the shower as those were not provided - the only thing that...

This excellent home from the mid-1800s although post dating Ms. Austen, you will feel that Mr. Darcy could come to call at any time. Ailene and Luc and their children are the perfect hosts making us feel most welcome in their home. The breakfasts were excellent and our bed very comfortable. The small tourist oriented village of Crupet makes for a peaceful home base to explore the Belgian countryside. The restaurants in town are superb and there is the opportunity to stroll quiet streets and relax. Crupet and La Maison du Meunier do an excellent job of balancing village life with the all the amenities to make you comfortable. Parel in de Condroz! Aline en Luc zijn uitbaters van deze b&b, ze zorgen voor een toffe ontvangst en ideaal verblijf. Men geniet hier van een ongedwongen thuisgevoel. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn zeer joviaal. | Het 19de eeuwse gebouw van een molenaar is nu een statige woning met stijlvol ingerichte kamers, alles afgewerkt met eigentijdse, hoogwaardige materialen. |Beneden is er een ruim en fraai afgewerkt salon waar gasten kunnen verpozen en 's ochtends ontbijten. Hier bevindt zich ook een koelkast/honesty bar.|Ikzelf kon in juni 2021 profiteren van het mooie weer. Aline en Luc zorgden zo voor een ontbijt op hun aangenaam terras. Het ontbijt is een echte topper. De verse yoghurt met aardbeitjes of meloen erbij: een heerlijk verfrissende start van de dag. |De mooie tuin en het openluchtzwembad zijn een grote meerwaarde. |De ligging in de mooie Naamse Condroz nodigt uit tot fijne uitstappen binnen handbereik: de Maasvallei, tuinen van Annevoie, Maredsous, Spontin, Brasserie du Bocq, Dinant, Namen,... En niet te vergeten ligt La Maison du Meunier in het dorpshart van Crupet, één van Belgisch mooiste dorpjes. |Prijs-kwaliteit een echte aanrader!
