We spent a midweek in Center Parcs Vossemeren. The location is beautiful, just five minutes past the Dutch border, making it a short trek for us, which I appreciated all the more! The location is wonderful; there is plenty of water, they places trees wherever they could and it's generally a very relaxing atmosphere. While we went during a Dutch holiday, it didn't seem overly crowded at any point. There's plenty of ways to walk around (we brought our dog so we walked plenty) and enjoy the plentitude of birds, squirrels and rabbits. Past sunset some areas do tend to get a bit dark and not all of them are illuminated in the slightest. Down certain paths there were no lights at all, in others the lights were simply broken. There are several small areas for walking your dog but the areas have neither plastic bags or even a trashcan nearby. I think both would be very useful to have near, because we discovered plenty of steamy piles of dog 'gifts' left behind by unprepared owners, both inside the walking areas and throughout the park. That said, all areas are kept clean throughout the day and there's very little trash to be seen.

The activities, while often expensive, are well worth it. We booked archery, donkey care and laser gaming, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them! The guides there are very friendly and enthusiastic and the activities are well-prepared and fun for all ages!

The pool is lovely with lots of different forms of entertainment. There are at least 4 slides, several bubble baths, a whirlpool bath, a wave-pool, but our favourite parts were the wild water rapids (outdoors but heated) and the coral reef, where you could see fish through underwater windows. I believe that on busier days and especially throughout summer this pool would get too crowded, but for us it was perfect and we had a wonderful time, going out to swim there daily. The lockers are free and open/ close using the bracelet you get that also functions to open your cottage and allows you entrance to the pool itself and to the Discovery Bay. We didn't go to Discovery Bay much ourselves, but it is a very wonderful themed area where children can climb, play with water and just have a grand time. It has an indoor bar where adults can sit and have a drink and still have a view on a large part of the play area.

We didn't go out to eat at the restaurants but did order takeout. The snackbar has nice food, expensive but that is what we expected, going to a Center Parcs location. Unfortunately we did witness one of the younger staff repeatedly scratching her face, redoing her hair, and constantly biting on her nails before making ice creams and grabbing containers or whatnot. We also ordered takeout Pizza (twice, actually, as we ruined our supposed dinner on the last day). There was a take-out area supposed to be at the entrance, but it was closed and we had to go ask at the info area. They informed us that we can order takeout pizza at Nonna's. The pizzas are, again, expensive but tasty. The second time we went there, however, the lady at Nonna's seemed in a very bad mood and rudely sent my husband and son away saying 'it's too busy you can't order takeout'. When my husband asked if they could order at a later time when it was quiet, she shrugged and said "I don't know, after seven maybe." Not sure why Center Parcs advertises Pizza takeout in their app if you can't actually order it unless it's quiet enough? We ended up driving into Lommel and getting food there.

The cabin is a little basic but definitely refurbished and mostly clean. Not sure why some cabins have no BBQ while others do, though. We also had old looking outdoor furniture while all the cottages surrounding us were much nicer looking.

All in all though, the activities and the pool made for a really pleasant experience, and the area is very relaxing and quiet. It's a lovely place and especially during warmer months there is so much to do that you will...

We left early from our stay as there where too many problems with the park. We arrived at your park on the 1/7/24. We got our bands and went to the accommodation. After taking our clothes inside we put our van back in the car park and went for dinner in the market dome. We first went to the grand cafe and enquired about a gluten free meal for myself as I have a gluten free diet due to having celiac disease. The waitress went and checked with the chef and came back and said they would only be able to do a salad or a beef dish, when I asked what the beef dish was she couldn’t tell me anything other than it has beef in it. We decided to have a look and see what else there was, the buffet told us they wouldn’t be able to do any gluten free food, then the grill restaurant was shut. We enquired at nonnas Italian and they said the only gluten free thing they could make is pizza, we struggled with the menu as it was in Dutch and no English alternative available, so being tired and hungry we decided to have dinner there. The pizzas were mediocre at best and definitely not worth the money. The 2nd nite we seen that grill restaurant fuggos would be opened that nite so booked a table online, when booking we wrote in Dutch translated from Google to Dutch about 1 of our party being gluten free. When we arrived I told the server about being gluten free and orders steak and chips and I asked was the steak gluten free and was the chips gluten free and was told yes twice. The food arrived, the steak was of a poor quality for the price, after eating it I started to feel sick, I can tell when I have digested gluten and had definitely digested it there. My daughter got a burger which was 25 euro and looked like a rustler microwave burger. We were disappointed that the only thing I could eat at the park and not get unwell was pizza. We went to the Italian a 2nd nite and it’s pizza worst than the first, we seamed to get seated outside when every other guest got seated inside I don’t know the reason for this but on the first nite 1 of the servers mentiond it was because I was gluten free. I don’t see what I would be seated outside because of this?? My partner went in to fittes affairs to ask about gluten free and the chef came out and told her the only thing they can do is the chips, the second my partner turned around they pulled faces to each other and began talking in Dutch I know this because I was watching them from outside the restaurant. Our lodge was bad, the beds where like sleeping on the floor and pillows where like bean bags. We had mantinance out twice, once fixing the dish washer and then the heating. There was a water drainage pipe leading on to our patio area which ruined the outside seating area for us as we couldn’t sit out on the table and chairs. The park is very dangerous as there is too many cars driving around no one stops at the crossings even if you are on the crossing not even the members of staff stop. The golf buggy’s are very dangerous and we have stopped our kids being knocked down at least 20 times on our stay between them and cars. The pony ride is a joke giving an inexperienced parent the reins or a pony and letting them go away out of sight with young children on it. The high rope adventure course is being held together with a ratchet strap and is unsafe, health and safety in the uk would shut the park down. If you don’t talk Dutch the staff don’t want to know and ignore and talk behind you’re back, I have made a more in depth review elsewhere as ran out of...

What to say, the staff at reception and security are great and so happy. The swimming pool was good fun for all the kids with plenty to do and was cleaned very day, it felt safe with children to play, there are also so many activities to do that are at a reasonable price.

The coffee man in the morning at the shop was great, fresh coffee and a very happy face serving :-) although the coffee is a tad on the expensive side…

The outdoor Water park was great fun and the staff made it even better, really encouraging the kids to get involved.

Bikes - well there was none available so we had to hire externally - which has never happened but it makes sense to book in advance - how ever there are cheaper places to hire from nearby…

Good - well we are at the buffet place but it was nearly 170 euros for a family of five which is just to expensive now it’s used to be good value but the food was not good value for a family of five with 2 under 16

Nonna the Italian was great - reasonably priced if you don’t over indulge ;-) the service was also good the waiter and waitress really go the extra mile to make the meal feel like home - the wine need cooling tho well

Waffles and pancakes ! Well again over priced and the lady was super unhelpful, the menu was not clear and the options are just odd… the kids meals prices make no sense against the adults one and there is way to many options if you want to blow 130 euros on some ice cream and waffles and pancakes then this is the place..

The shop is okay priced not to bad, but if you come out of the park and head right there is a super market with much better quality food and at a cheaper price..

The lodges - our was so hot all the time, and being near the lakes it’s hard to have to windows open with out being eaten alive by the mosquitos :-) the kitchens and fridge and cooking areas were modern and clean the rooms were fine and great for 5 days - but if your over 6f3 the beds are to small and a bit of a disappointment, but every thing was clean.

We did have one disappointment with a bike being taken and lost which was really sad , it was a kids bike too which made it worse and a personally one not hired so that was sad, how ever the security and the staff all tried super hard in looking for it, sadly this was not isolated and other bikes and scooters were take the same night, we have never had this happen before but just be careful to lock everything.

So all in all it was a great holiday and while the food and drinks are massively over priced the rest is great and the...

We chose CenterParcs De Vossemeren for our first abroad holiday in over 13 years. I won’t lie it was perfect! The staff are so lovely, and welcoming and all speak really good English! The site itself is beautiful and there are so many activities to keep you busy. We booked pony trekking for my son and bowling, both were a great experience, the pony trip was especially enjoyable ending on the beach and having the opportunity to take photos and have your photo taken. My son rode Lucky, he was a very good boy 🐴 The cottage was lovely but holds the only negatives of the entire holiday. We stayed in cottage 437 which was in a nice quiet location but close enough to a small playground, the bins and the marketplace. Unfortunately the bathroom did hold some Black mould in the shower. On an evening it was so cold in there (I had prepared for that having read very similar reviews), the cottage Thermostat is limited to 24 but it doesn’t heat up to that temp (we had my toddlers room thermometer with us), my son’s room was by far the warmest and that topped out at 20.9. The thermostats also reset during the night back down to 16 which is so annoying. They really need to change this format for the winter months. Even though there were some small negatives there were a tonne of overwhelming positives. *You can literally walk to the Neatherlands, there’s a few lovely windmills to visit just over the boarder, one is a bakery museum (bakkerijmuseum) in Luyksgestel. *Leuven is little over an hour away and it’s beautiful and so much less touristy, the town hall is breathtaking. Whilst in Leuven, if you like a drink, visit Prik & Tik to load the car up on amazing Belgium cheap beer. 🍺 My husband got lost in here for well over an hour. *In lommel is a German war Cemetery (DUITSE OORLOGSBEGRAAFPLAATS) which, purely for a reality check, is worth a visit, it’s an incredibly sobering place especially when you realise each marker represents 2 people (a name on each side). *The woodland beside the park and the canal is worth exploring too. Overall a wonderful, but cold holiday! 💜

We had planned to celebrate our daughter’s fifteenth birthday. She was the one who chose the hotel, and her dream was to spend her special day on a terrace with a view of the lake, beautifully lit in the evening. The prices in early September are already high, and the hotel charges an additional fee for a lake view. We were provided with photos of the exact room we reserved, and the whole family was looking forward to this trip. It is important to note that beyond the hotel stay, the trip also included airfare, car rental, and the extremely high cost of Disneyland. Finally, the long-awaited day came. But instead of joy, we were met with deep disappointment. The room was shockingly dirty: white socks turned black within minutes, there was mold in the shower, crumbs under the sofa, the terrace table was covered in greasy stains, and the chairs were left scattered around. But the biggest disappointment was the “view.” Thick overgrowth completely blocked the promised lake view up to the second floor. We tried to change the room, asking only for what we had paid for and what had been promised. But there were no available rooms. We were assured that the surcharge for the lake view would be refunded. Yet how can one refund a child’s broken dream? My daughter cried, and nobody was able to help us. Now, 11 days have passed, and no refund has been processed. What I feel today is overwhelming disappointment — with the hotel, with the service, and with the way guests are treated. You work with people’s dreams and memories. How can you so coldly and carelessly destroy someone’s plans and hopes? My question to the management is this: if you were planning a celebration for your own child, investing money, effort, and emotions, only to be met with dirt, deception, and indifference from the staff — would you recommend your hotel to anyone?
