This is the only place where i can write a review for others to see. Jaguar Creeks Facebook won't approve my post. I want to start with how amazing Belize is and that this post is not towards the people of Belize. This is strictly towards Jaguar Creek Resort and false advertisements. I’ve called numerous times because of the hurricane to ensure safety, comfort, internet access and activities would all be intact. I was told that everything is fine, accommodations are safe, rivers are great, tubing, bikes and walking trails were all open. I was even told to pack fleece wear for pajamas because it gets “cooler” at night. When i arrived here 7/15 i was told from the beginning that tubes were not available; they’ve all been punctured for weeks. I had to ask for assistance with my luggage, this was not offered. I was told WiFi was ONLY offered in the reception office. We were hungry when arriving and food was not available. I was told they have “certain” hours for food. This information was never displayed on the website nor was I advised that food was limited with a 2 hour window and nothing else available to eat until then. We had to travel 25 min outside a resort where we are paying $425 a night for food. (the most decent place to eat was Las Palapas) I’ve stayed at amazing hotels for $200 a night and food was available during all operating hours. Here, at Jaguar Creek food was limited to a 2 hour window. The food we were served for dinner was nothing like the photos on the website. Roast beef wedge? I had 4 pieces of meat. 80% of my plate was carbs. Mashed potatoes, salad doused in dressing, and garlic bread. The pineapple was not fresh squeezed. When we went to our rooms we thought it was best to turn in early and leave the next morning.. That’s when everything got worse. The sheets were dirty with stains. It was not “cooler” in the evening at all. (which was advised by staff when i called) When we were in bed, we were getting bit non stop. Didn’t mind it because we accepted that it’s expected because of the jungle. That’s until we checked… there were bedbugs EVERYWHERE. We took a video and went to the front to have this addressed. We were told nothing can be done because of no house keeping. I had to urge Daryl to think of something. I was told another room was available but i asked to check first. I went and there were bed bugs here too. We decided to stay in our original cabana so we wouldn’t wake the kids for no reason. Then the bugs we originally saw multiplied. There were hundreds all over the pillows and bed. My wife and i went back to the desk and it was closed! Luckily we saw security and they helped us. They messaged Daryl and we got to switch cabanas into one with lesser bugs. No one was here to give a good resolution at night. Instead the person in office was preoccupied watching soccer with girls. I payed $425 BZ a night to give my family an amazing, unique and unforgettable experience in the Belizean jungle. Instead we were told no tubes for river tubing which you market everywhere, we were fed the worst food of our 2 weeks in Belize, and had to beg for a room change. $425 a night in Belize should rival top tier luxury get aways, but not at jaguar creek.

BEST PLACE TO UNWIND FROM EVERYDAY LIFE AND GET IN TOUCH WITH NATURE. I visited Jaguar Creek and my experience was AMAZING! Let's talk about booking: First of all I am a local so when I booked the room I needed my credit card to do so even though I deposit the payment at our local bank. The process was easy and smooth. I had great communication with the woman (I forgot her name) and she asked if we had any dietary restrictions and our approximate time of arrival. The Journey: Jaguar Creek is located about 55- 60 miles from Belize city. Its exactly right across from the Blue Hole on the Hummingbird Hwy and there is a lovely sign with its name so you can't miss it. From the highway you have to drive about 1.5 - 2 miles in on a gravel road (so take your time and enjoy the greenery). Arrival: We were greeted by a lovely young man by the name of Ismael. He was an all arounder (because of the close boarders during this COVID 19 pandemic) the staff was relatively small. He took us to our cabin and helped us with our luggage. He told us about the place, what to expect and what time breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. My Stay: The cabin is very cozy and spacious, in ours it had two double beds, a mini fridge, a safe, hammock, two standing fans, sitting area and a lovely mini patio. On their website it says WIFI is available and I have read quite a number of reviews which stated upon arrival there was none. With that being said I experienced the same thing, there was no WIFI access but I didn't have a problem with that. The food was delicious the staff was welcoming. Tips: Jaguar Creek is located in the jungle so take the following into consideration: 1. Phone signal is poor especially with your phone data. 2. Insect repellent is a MUST 3. These is no pool but these is a lovely Creek and you can go tubing as well. 4. Keep your cabin door close to minimize insects coming in 5. These is no AC and the windows and doors just has thick curtains to maintain your privacy 6. The sound of wildlife is very prominent (I feel in love with the sound) 7. There is no TV in the cabin If your are looking for somewhere to detach, this is definitely the place for you. I enjoyed my stay and looked forward in visiting again.

This place is a little heaven in the Belizean jungle. We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We booked their transportation services from the water taxi dock in Belize City and to the airport. Each trip cost us $125, but that seemed like a very fair price (I contacted various of the “best ranked” shuttle companies in Belize and was always quoted the same price if not more.) Their van is great and their driver is very nice and welcoming. We also booked the Tikkal tour directly with them. Everything was well organized and run smoothly so you should definitely consider them if you want to do any tours! My stomach didn’t enjoy too much the trip I believe, so unfortunately we couldn’t book another tour the next day as I needed to be close from… you know what. The hotel itself is beautiful with its wooden decorations. The lush garden is a giant gem, stretching from miles to miles. The creek is refreshing, crystal clear and just peaceful. It’s full of fish (be careful if you go there after a sunburn and with a lot of dead skin. It was my case and I became the snack of thousands of little fish!) The complimentary tubbing will make for great family memories. The loop trail is great, but be prepared for some steps and some sweat with the reigning humidity! We were lucky enough to see a monkey while doing the trail. We absolutely LOVE : The decoration and romantic details they put in the room. We didn’t ask for anything, yet they surprised us! The food from the restaurant. It’s absolutely delicious. Even my vegetarian partner who is very picky absolutely loved every meal. The staff is very dedicated, friendly and hard working! During the 3 days we stayed there, we were the only guests. This was great for us, but also a shame as this hotel definitely deserves to attract more people! Things to note : There is no diner menu at the restaurant. It means that you won’t be able to choose your food, but they offer a new dish every day and their food is just delicious! WiFi works great, but is available only in selected areas. We were aware of this and totally fine with is, but it’s always good to remind it!
