Stayed during slow season, September 2018, 3 nights. Wow, The beautifully maintained grounds are worth being outside San Ignacio. The resort is backs up against dense vegetation, making you feel like you are in the jungle. You are reminded that you are still part of the city with a quick 10-15 minute walk to the nearest restaurant. Cabs are generally 5 USD per trip to and from the city. Staff are very friendly and helpful. For the price point of 99 USD per night you have access to a pool, free WiFi, a nice restaurant & bar, AC in your Clean Casita, and comfortable beds. *With consideration of the per night was more than 99 per night and comparing to other places in town.....Their restaurant is expensive compared to restaurants in town. And becuase I stayed during slow season services were limited. Example, their restaurant operated on an as needed basis. So if I did not order any meals ahead of time I had to find food in town (good thing taxis are not expensive). Their restaurant's breakfast is just ok not great, especially for what they charge. Gym was not open at this time. Bath rooms are outdated, tub was a bit rusty, shower only ran in Hellfire Hot or ice cold, nothing in between. But everything else made up for the Resort's shortcomings.

I love this hotel so much! Went there with a group of friends 12 people. We had bad experience with other hotels with check-in process , and helps of luggages. But as we arrived Cassia Hills, the receptionist, Marizol, attended us with warm and welcome. And check-in process is ready and efficient! Less than 10 minutes , all group members already guided to their rooms by Marizol and luggages are delivered by the doors! The hotel location is also great, very close to town, quite and comfortable , with a nice and pretty swimming pool. Would definitely come back again!

This is such a great place to visit while in Belize. It started with emails from Elmer to work out the details of our trip. He made sure we would be able to do all of the things we wanted with our group of 6. The cabanas are very nice and spacious. We booked 2 excursions, Xunantinich and cave tubing, and were blown away by both. Carlos was our tour guide and he was the greatest! Everyone at the resort was super helpful. I would gladly stay there again if going back to San Ignacio.

based on precious reviews, i hesitated to finalize our booking at this location. however, we decided to book here because of its close proximity to the guatemalan border and to san ignacio. there are no restaurants close by but san ignacio is only 2 miles away. the border is less than 5 miles away. the cabana we stayed at was close to the pool, my soon loved the infinity pool. our room had an outside porch with hammock and inside there was a comfortable king size bed, twin bed, mini refrigerator, and a small table with 2 chairs. small amount of individual shampoo and soap provided as well as a pitcher of filtered water. the room was clean and the property was quiet. there was one family as well as a group of what i assumed to be part of a tour group while we were there. the cabanas are far enough from each other for privacy and the slated windows with sceeens can make the room very dark. wifi was fast and the room also had a mini split. caveats however... the rooms did not have a ceiling fan or bug nets. i would also not book here if you have mobility issues because it is quite an upward stroll from the parking lot to the cabanas unless you get a room near the reception office. i am quite fit and usually walk 6 miles a day and my husband is a mailman but even we did not like the walk. doable yes, annoying also yes. the walkway is made of cobble stone and does have areas of stairs (less than 5 steps). bringing up rolling lugagge would be a pain so we only took what we needed from the car. i found all of the staff to be quite nice including the recpetionist, house keeping, and security. we felt very welcomed. the grounds are clean and well maintained. i would definitely book here again but would find it hard to recommend for someone with...

Disappointing stay at Cassia.|Booking from out of country so used Expedia. The word deluxe should be no where in the advertising description but it was and rented a deluxe cabin. It was a very tired old not very clean old cabin with uncomfortable beds, that creaked when you moved and very hard mattresses. The duvets were not clean, there were crumbs on them when we arrived. icky bathrooms and I found a condom wrapper under the nightstand when I went looking for my AirPods that went missing during my stay and I still have not found.|I had put the do not disturb on my door before I left and they still went in and made my bed which bothered me.|When we went to leave after two nights we realized there was another path that took us past brand new villas that were gorgeous. If you stay here please make sure to ask because I was confused and rented the deluxe cabins thinking they would be the calibre of what I found in the villas when leaving.|There was an extra charge of $40 US for each of my young teens under 17 travelling with us which I felt was steep. When asked for a discount due to the disappointment of our stay and missing AirPods they took $5 off of each child’s fee.|I didn’t wish to complain about my stay because I thought this is as good as it gets in Belize, but it is disappointing to not have been offered the best rooms they had. The cabins were too expensive for what they were.|The pool was gorgeous and grounds were lovely just make sure to ask for new villas as the advertising for cabins is misleading unless you enjoy...
