Our recent stay at the Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel & Spa was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped into the elegant lobby, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The hotel's stunning architecture, coupled with its prime beachfront location, creates an unforgettable experience. The accommodations were nothing short of luxurious. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted breathtaking ocean views. The plush bedding and state-of-the-art amenities ensured a restful and rejuvenating stay. The culinary offerings at the Sofitel Cotonou were equally impressive. The Corniche Restaurant, with its delectable seafood dishes, was a particular highlight. A special mention goes to Laila, whose warm hospitality and expert recommendations made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The Vivo Restaurant also deserves praise, offering a diverse range of international cuisine. Ismael's attentive service and culinary expertise added a touch of elegance to every meal. The hotel's commitment to exceptional service was evident in every interaction. Fouad from Room Service went above and beyond to cater to our requirements, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay. Joselyn at the reception was incredibly helpful and accommodating, providing valuable information and assistance throughout our visit. In addition to the outstanding service and luxurious accommodations, the Sofitel Cotonou offers a plethora of amenities to cater to every guest's needs. The spa, with its serene ambiance and rejuvenating treatments, is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The hotel's two swimming pools, one overlooking the hotel and the other nestled indoor at the spa amidst lush greenery, provide idyllic settings for sunbathing and swimming. Overall, our stay at the Sofitel Cotonou Marina Hotel & Spa was truly unforgettable. The hotel's luxurious facilities, coupled with the exceptional service provided by its dedicated staff, make it the ultimate destination for a memorable getaway in Cotonou. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable...

Seamless Check‑In: From the moment I stepped into the airy marble lobby, a smile and a chilled bissap welcome drink set the tone. Registration was swift—passport scanned, key card handed over, and a concierge already plotting the best route to my suite.

Architecture & Layout: The hotel’s low‑rise, palm‑lined structure blends Beninese motifs with contemporary French chic. Floor‑to‑ceiling glass invites sunlight into breezy corridors, while landscaped courtyards break up the blocks so you’re never far from greenery or the Atlantic’s breeze.

Pool Oasis: An infinity pool stretches toward the lagoon, flanked by teak loungers and discreet attendants who appear the instant your glass hits half‑empty. Evening lighting turns the water sapphire blue—perfect for twilight laps or sundowner photos.

Boutique Cinema: Tucked just off the lobby, the private cinema feels like a secret club. Plush recliners, artisanal popcorn, and a curated schedule of global classics meant I could duck in after dinner and lose myself for an hour without leaving the property.

The Room—Star of the Show: My lagoon‑view suite was an ode to understated luxury: muted earth tones, crisp linens, and locally carved art pieces. A touch‑panel controlled ambient lighting and blackout blinds; the rain shower felt like a tropical downpour, and the pillow menu (yes, a menu!) guaranteed perfect sleep.

Staff—The Beating Heart: Every interaction—whether with the bellman who remembered my name after one mention or the breakfast chef who tweaked my omelette just so—radiated genuine warmth and polished professionalism. Their anticipatory service made a beautiful property...

Spa Review: my feedback is in the hopes that the the Spa will continue to improve it’s service and their offering. The Spa staff were lovely Esther and Octavia my masseuse friendly even with our bit of a language barrier. The receptionist that told me about the products used for massage was also very nice and knowledgeable about the products. I would have loved the presentation of the products for the massage and that the masseuse would have told me what she was applying to my skin. The sauna is nice, but the bench doesn’t really accommodate plus size people well, I wish they had were deeper so you could lay comfortably. The pool was advertised as a heater pool, but it wasn’t actually heard. Lastly the pool bed I first choose had some stains on the upholstery. This is a luxury establishment, I would have expected better attention to detail. The were no hooks to hang your robe in the massage room or near the sauna. Lastly, I think a tour of the facility should have been done and then allow the client to roam freely between the pool and the sauna. At 115.000 Fcfa, I don’t believe the value...
