The rooms are in small bungalows overlooking the lake close to the lakeshore. You have to walk uphill from reception to the rooms (be aware all are uphill) and we got totally breathless every time due to the altitude. ||It takes about 20 to 30 mins to walk into town, or 5 to 10 mins by taxi (15 B.o.B). The road isn’t paved and is unlit so not a good idea to walk at night. It is in an enclosed compound so there is safe and ample parking. ||We had a double bungalow which was quite nice, cozy and mainly clean, but let down by a clump of hair on the floor that possibly was stuck to the bedside mat – yuck! We always had hot water for the shower but the room itself was very cold at night and did not have any heating. On our second night we asked reception if they had a heater and lo and behold they lent us a small fan heater. I don’t know why they don’t put heaters in the rooms in the first place as it is normally cold at night.||Breakfast was okay. Pretty much the same as all hotels we stayed in Bolivia. The coffee was very good though and came with piping hot milk. On our first day we were not offered any eggs so thought that was normal as it was advertised as a continental breakfast. However on our second day we were offered eggs by the same lady which was strange. Maybe she forgot the previous day?||We were happy with our stay overall and glad to be out of town as Copacabana is not a particularly attractive town. It only really exists to provide tourist services with no actual Bolivian normal life going on. One complaint about the lodge was that they charged us 15 B.o.B /kg for laundry (normal Bolivian price 9-10 B.o.B), 24hr service, and when we got it back it was still really damp. We were leaving to travel to our next destination so had to pack it damp and hang it up at our next hotel to dry. It was of course extremely wrinkled. I found that very annoying as we had previously taken stuff to a laundry ourselves for less money, clothes ready the same day, everything dry and folded and not wrinkled. I understand a hotel charges a bit more but at least it should be dried properly. Other than that I probably would stay...

What could or probably once was a nice eco-retreat has unfortunately become a rundown and misleading accommodation.
Our room was not well-maintained, with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, a constantly leaking sink tap, and a toilet that barely flushed. The so-called eco-friendly aspect seemed more like neglect than sustainability.
Breakfast was another letdown. The pictures online painted a far better picture than what was actually served—at least during the low season.
The biggest shock came at checkout when we were told they didn’t accept cards and insisted on payment in bolivianos—at a highly inflated rate. The room price suddenly jumped by 60%, which felt like a blatant attempt to overcharge. After some back-and-forth, we managed to pay the agreed Booking.com rate using the official exchange rate, but the experience left a bad taste.
Overall, this place is not worth the hassle. There are surely better, more honest accommodations...

The room was not super clean. We found hairs and some ants. For a room of this price, we expect a super clean room.
Expect to take a taxi at night because it is a 20 min walk in the dark to Copacabana.
The description of booking is not in line with the actual accommodation. The description says kitchen, dishwasher, hairdryer etc, but in actual you have to pay more for that.
The value for money is low. So, we should not recommend it to others.
The male host is not very friendly and seems only focused on making money. The wrong description of booking was according to him correct. And the second day the wifi did not work. He said it did work, but when asked to show it on his phone he also noticed it didn't work. This was due to the wind! According to him and that wifi at night was bad. We should wait 30min and try again. The next morning it was still...
