Where do I start with this property? When we arrived, after travelling with another couple from Santa Cruz, the five of us were told by the owner 'I don't have any room for you, whether you have a reservation or not'. The three of us DID have a reservation but for some reason the email had not reached the hostel. Instead of apologising for this oversight and helping us to find alternative accommodation the owner proceeded to tell us that we 'definitely did not' have a reservation, and left us stranded while he assisted the other couple. After we found fantastic accommodation elsewhere in Samaipata we forwarded our booking confirmation to the owner in the hopes that he would acknowledge it and apologise for his rudeness. This place is pretty cheap between 80b for private and i think 30b for the dorms. If ure in the dorms or tents there's only 1toliet and 1 shower (both accessible outside) for everyone... there are often issues with bookings because of hostelworld account mixup so if u book book with booking dot com to be sure! The breakfast was fab wen we were there - fruit, bread, cheese, sausages and jam - tho this may have changed i hope it hasnt because it's definitely a selling point for this place. Has working wifi too which is a bonus! Has a lot of potential that's not quite been met yet... Met some lovely people here - generally has a gd vibe this place. Pros Good breakfast Good hot shower Good wifi The place is nice to just lounge, hang out, and enjoy the sunny skies of Samaipata. The good price means there's some travellers who's always here whom you could share the tour prices with or just plain explore or be with. Kitchen. Cons It's a shadow of the place it once was (judging from the photos on booking), it's no longer well-kept. The one week i was there, the floor of our room was never swept. The kitchen has old pots and dirty, unusable pans, plastic plates, and the trash is overflowing from three days of being unemptied.
