It is just an ordinary hotel. That said it is adequate and very clean. The maintance is excellent. We had a room that to me stepped out of the 1950's. I think it was family room, with separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds. If you are interested in a trip across southern Bolivia see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. The doors of the bedrooms led to a common foyer which in turn is access to a common washroom. The rooms are located around a three story covered courtyard. Although we did not need it the rooms do have heat. It took a long time for the hot water to arrive in the morning but we eventually had hot showers. The bed is good, the pillows are firm, no spares were in the room so no choice was available without visiting the front desk. The wifi is sketchy in the rooms but we did OK out in the lobby. Read moreWe stayed 2 nights in Hotel Cima Argentum. We had planned to stay only one night but because of road blocks we had to stay a extra night. The staff was very helpful getting us the information needed to travel on and both persons spoke English.||We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious.||It had also a sitting area with a mini fridge, love seat, coffee table, table and chairs.||WiFi was available but was unstable in our room. We also had a room safe.||The room was clean although a little dated.||The shower was good with plenty of hot water and good water pressure.||We used room service the first night, the food and service were very good. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and was simple but nice with a choice of eggs. The service was very friendly.||The location is a 10 minute walk to the center but you will need a taxi from the bus station (there are two bus stations) As for Potosi, not the prettiest town in Bolivia but a good stop on your way to...
Read moreCima Argentum offers a convenient location close to Potosí’s historic center, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The hotel has a functional design, with clean and spacious rooms that provide the basic comforts needed for a short stay.
However, the overall experience feels more practical than memorable. While the staff is polite, service can be inconsistent, especially during busy hours. Room amenities are adequate but could benefit from modern updates to improve guest comfort. Noise insulation is also limited, which might affect rest.
The breakfast is simple but fresh, though the variety is minimal for longer stays. Cima Argentum serves well as a practical option for travelers who prioritize location and basic comfort over luxury or...
