Buganvillas Hotel Suites & Spa — Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra

Buganvillas is a nice, friendly place and good option for families with two or more kids. This is a place located on the fourth “anillo” of Sta. Cruz City very close to the Expo Cruz, it’s an old building, their rooms are spacious, we’ve stayed in a suite where was also place for a maid. It’s air conditioning system is also old and seems that the filters are not good cleaned and sometimes it’s a smell of mod. Even though, whenever we needed a help or something technical to fix, personal was very helpful and they sent right away a technician, for instance we needed to connect our cellphone chargers in the plugs but in Bolivia the plugs have bigger holes and they could change one of them that fitted perfectly. Piece of advice: bring your international plug adapter. |Breakfast was fine: good choices of fresh fruits and fruit juices, ham cheese and cereals as well. The hotel is located in a very beautiful and lush tropical garden, but the buildings are a bit worn out. The apartments are very big, but the are almost no kitchen utensils. Many of the apartments are obviously used by locals living there and the whole place is a little deserted during the day, so we had the pools and the buffet breakfast to ourselves. A bit boring after all. Outside the hotel is a supermarket with some fastfood restaurants, but otherwise noting of interest nearby, so you will need a taxi if you want to see anything else. We had a lot of problems checking in. Not sure if it was because of Agoda, where we booked the stay or the hotel receptionist. No of them were helpful. Never using them again. Este hotel tiene unas buenas instalaciones deportivas. Amplias habitaciones. Tienen bastante personal de seguridad, recepción y botones. Las piscinas están bien lo que no hay socorristas ni nadie que esté pendiente de los niños que hacen lo que quieren... Se meten con grandes colchonetas en piscinas y jacuzzi al que le falta más fuerza en los jets por cierto, saltan al lado tuyo... Deberían cuidar la seguridad es muy importante. ||||Las habitaciones necesitan una renovación urgente sobre todo los baños. Después de 11 horas de un vuelo de España llego a la habitación y no tenía agua sólo un pequeño hilo de agua y no me quisieron cambiar de habitación aún diciendoles que me tenía que salir por trabajo, tuve que ir a recepción y mostrar el video de el agua que tenía para que me hicieran caso. A mi vuelta vi que intentaron arreglarlo, había un poco más de presión pero apenas salía agua caliente sólo fría. ||||El sevicio de desayuno horrible!!! No beban agua de la jarra que ponen en el buffet!!! Es del grifo o de la llave como dicen en Bolivia a los europeos no nos sienta bien...llevo todo el día con diarrea. . . El buffet es muy pobre para un 5* sólo papaya y sandía de fruta. Encima cuando llegué no había ni platos ni vasos ni cubiertos y el café es americano en termo, me salí del restaurante y pedí un café espreso a la chica que recibe a la gente para no estar esperando a que trajeran material, me dijo que enseguida....después de 15 minutos de pie y no me lo traía se lo pedí a un camarero y me dijo que me lo traía pero que tenía que abonar 25 bolivianos unos 3€ . En fin un desastre. ||||Si vuelvo a este hotel es por sus instalaciones exteriores, habitaciones familiares y por su seguridad. ||||Ánimo y a seguir trabajando en la mejora...
