Well I have spent about 2 months of my life in Trinidad, Bolivia to date. I’ve stayed in a few hotels there. I have seen hotels in Trinidad for 30bs a night about $5us but it's not a place you would want to stay long term or even one night. I stayed in another hotel for 50bs about $8us a night which was very central, clean, and really good (without a pool or en suite). There is also a 4* hotel there but I’m not sure it's true and the cot is 430bs or $60us a night. Then this last time I stayed in Trinidad I stayed in Chope hotel.||||I stayed for a month long visit at Chope and everything was great. The internet went down for a few days (oh yes there is WIFI) but it was because to the weather and the very helpful and friendly manager was great to get this sorted. It only cost me 30bs or $5 a night more than the central place and about 300bs or $45us less than the other hotels with a pool in Trinidad, but I got 20bs because I was staying long term. This makes Chope hotel is an absolute bargain and far too cheap but let’s take advantage. They let me use the kitchen, there is a market 2mins walk away, they’re one restaurant in town that has a crocodile themed menu and is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Bolivia. I will try and it to TripAdvisor in the next few days too, they also cleaned the rooms everyday if they cleaned the pool every day I would give it a excellent rating||||The pool is not the cleanest but very swimmable, and the location would take about ten mins to walk to the center of town (where they're sloths in the trees of the plaza so look up) but you can see the bus station from the hotel. Shower was hotish and there is toilet paper which if you have stayed in Bolivia for a while you'll know these things gold.||||I want to write more but i should just start adding stuff to TripAdvisor Trinidad. they're lakes, a park with animals, you can get to the amazon from here, bars, clubs, some of the best chocolate (you can get it with no sugar nothing added here, just the pods made into chocolate) which i went picking the coco pods in the amazon here one day and we made chocolate from them the old fashion way. Trindad is a great place if you know...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for one night while on a fish collecting trip in the Trinidad area. The staff were nice and the room was clean, although very basic. The hot shower worked and the air-conditioning worked also. The network did not seem to be working well so trying to Skype was impossible. The room was not expensive and I got what I paid for. Would I stay there again? Yes. As always, I bring my mosquito net as a good night's sleep is worth it's...
Read moreHands down the worst place I have ever stayed. Terrible from start to finish. The towels were stained, the pillowcases were stained, the hallway lights were off all night, the wifi is essentially non-existent (goes in and out), dogs and chickens making noise all night outside, and even the outlets wouldn't work properly to charge my phone....
