We moved to Hostal Mirador after a bad experience of another hotel in town. It was raining and so this was perfect...plenty of common areas to visit with friends and other tourists, the ability to be outside and observe the river and birds even in the rain, and plenty of entertaining things for the kids (ping pong, foozball, bunk beds, pool, hammocks, space).The rooms are plain but there are many options available (private or shared bath, private or shared rooms, camping, etc). The attention was pleasant...the staff didn't go out of their way to offer advice, but when asked they were able to provide the information we needed and were pleasant and helpful. The kitchen was available for use - we used the refrigerator to store some things and heated water for coffee, which we supplied ourselves. Compared to other more basic lodgings, the price was similar (we paid 75Bs. per adult, 70Bs. for our 9-year-old, and our 4-year-old was free). Due to issues with my airline we arrived almost 12 hours late, we let the staff know of our late arrival.The Hotel Mirador had no issue re arranging our itinerary, moved our dinner for our arrival and continue to be in contact with us via What’s app. Upon arrival the staff was very attentive and very polite. Rooms were clean and had a working AC. The next day the staff had an incredibly breakfast which contained amazing fresh fruit and Bolivian coffee. Since I have small children, I found easier to let the hotel host all our meals, and we were so right. The food was AMAZING After a wonderful experience at the Din Kong, we called the hotel and they prepared the best fresh and local fish available. We were incredibly excited and appreciative of the experience. My children had a very unique experience around nature and animals. The hotel also assisted arranging transportation back to...
