Had a horrible experience at Jahorina’s ski resort on last Friday(December 22nd). After finishing skiing, i wanted to take the cable car one last time before leaving, it was 3:50 pm at that time so i asked the person who was at the cable car if it’s okay to take and he said yes i can. I took it and went up, to be surprised that I’m not allowed to take it back down because it’ll close. The 2 guys at the top of the cable car(who prevented me from taking it down) were extremely rude, racist, entitled and unfriendly. As soon as they saw me come out of the car at the top, one of them started shouting in Bosnian language, they didn’t speak English and weren’t willing to listen or communicate. I tried to explain to them that the person down has agreed to let me in and it’s not my fault but they didn’t listen at all and were extremely aggressive. Then came a 3rd person who spoke a little English, i explained to him the situation and that i have to a bus to Mostar, he told me i have 2 options either wait at the restaurant till it works again at 6 or walk down the mountain!! (weather was extreme). Again the 2 other guys started laughing at me and murmuring in Bosnian and they didn’t seem to care at all. Place is not recommended if you don’t speak their language because if you face any issues there, chances are you won’t get away...

mountain is beautiful 10/10
slopes are great if there is enough snow
Renting gear has a reasonable price wherever you go, hotels always offer great prices if you are staying with them. 8/10
Food and beverages are overpriced in most places. However, you are going to enjoy friendly staff in most restaurants and bars. 5/10
Parking - is simply not organised. Hotels have their own parkings which is good. But if you want to park out of the hotel get ready for a rip off. Amain parkings are held by Jahorina public company. Each parking location even though owned by the same public company doesn't have a unified parking ticked. But every time you move to a new location that day you will be asked to pay 15KM (daily ticket)... on top of that parking is charged manually... If you get younger guys they will be polite, older guys will be those half drunk, pissed off idiots who just wanna argue over everything. Parking score 0/10.
Worth coming to Jahorina, make sure if possible that its a season with a lot of snow, try avoiding Balkan public holidays as its over crowded. Make sure your hotel / apaments have...
Read moreJahorina Ski Resort exceeded all my expectations! The slopes are well-groomed and offer a great variety for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers. With around 35 km of trails and a modern lift system, there are rarely long waiting times. The six-seater and four-seater lifts make transportation smooth, and the artificial snow system ensures excellent conditions throughout the season.
The resort has a lively atmosphere with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and après-ski activities. I stayed in one of the hotels near the slopes, and the accommodation was comfortable with great service. The staff is friendly and always ready to help.
Jahorina is also very accessible, just about 30 km from Sarajevo, making it an easy and convenient ski destination. Whether you’re here for skiing, snowboarding, or just enjoying the winter scenery, this resort has everything you need. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-notch ski experience in...
