Beautiful hotel! Gorgeous brasilian rustic decorarion that shows the connection between the hotel and its surroundings community. That's also observed on the products available in the bagalos - shampoo, conditioner, insect repellent, toilet spray deodorizer, and soaps which are all hand made by the local community. And they are wonderful! I never use hotel toiletry, but these I had to try it. And...they are great. And what to say about the food made by Preá's women? From the good-night sweets left in the bagalos at night, just like magic, to the breakfast (included in the bedroom rate), lunch and dinner (not included, but with fair price for the high quality), to the cakes/fruits and coffes/teas spread around the lounge areas (included), everything was perfect! I just wish I had know before that this hotel group has a place in Jeri too! And that they have complementary transfer between their hotels! If I had know before, I would have stayed at the Kalango in Jeri, instead of the My Blue, before coming to the Rancho. To make everything even better try a massage! I liked so much that I went overboard... I highly recommend. Five starts for sure! P.S: This hotel receives a lot of tourist from abroad. I wish that the smokers (looking at you French group) had more common sense when smoking in a country where such habit has prohibited...
Read moreThe first place we've stayed where 'no plastic' and 'merging with the natural environment' seem to be taken quite seriously. Everywhere you turn to in this unique inn you´ll see creativity combined with natural and local materials, native-like buildings that may look like huts but in fact are much more. Comfortable cottages with no need for air conditioning because of the way they are built, as learned from the locals.|Service is also a big plus, from Erlan the most hospitable and good-natured Concierge to the Receptionist ladies, to the staff at the restaurant, to the person who takes care of the vegetable garden (amazingly green!) to the cooks... The food is outstanding too. Unforgettable breakfast, with all our requests accomodated by everyone there. There's peace, there are activities if you want to. And be prepared to wake up to birds singing and to the sunlight gently breaking through the crevices and thatched roof of your cottage, while the wind blows and you smell the sea air. And to shower...
Read moreGreat place for water sports, especially kite surfing, for which the area is well known for. There are over 20 bungalows in the property, split between sea facing and garden. Would recommend to stick to the ones with the sea view… it’s quite something to sleep and wake up to the soft sound of the waves in the distance. |But what sets Rancho do Peixe apart is the staff, who is always keen to serve and help in whichever way possible. The breakfast menu is immense and soooo delicious, much like the rest of the lunch and dinner menu.|Rancho do Peixe is a 40 minute drive to Jericoacoara, hence it’s best experiences by those who want to relax, chill and enjoy their time in...
