Pousada Tia Ilda — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Anápolis

Visited Pirenopolis during a trip to Brasil to see friends. They had decided we should spend a weekend in Pirenopolis having heard good things about the city and knowing it was only a couple of hours drive from where they live. Having got there we needed to find a place to stay, because a music festival was happening the same weekend we initially struggled to find a place, however, the local tourist office gave some good advise and recommended the Pousada Tia Ilda only a couple of mins from the centre of town we were pleasantly surprised about how good the hotel was. It's reasonably small and cost 250 reais but the bed was good, free wifi, free breakfast, air conditioning, which was very welcome because of the heat and a nice pool. I stayed here with a friend during one weekend and we were somehow satisfied with our stay. The pousada is located a little bit far from the center of the city but during the day the city seems to be quite safe. Our room was located at first floor and was very clean, having fridge, TV and air conditioning. The big surprise we had was the lack of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom so I was really dissapointed to see that basic things are missing. Wifi is free and the speed is average. Breakfast is ok, I have seen better at other pousadas in Brazil. The juice I did not like but the rest of the food was ok. We stayed just one night. The rooms were very clean. Wifi and tv was available, no problems. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The morning breakfast rivaled the breakfast buffet at our fancy hotel in Brasilia. The owners were fantastic. Despite our language challenges, they worked with us and helped us plan a visit to a local waterfall that we will always remember. They were very kind and generous. My only negative is that the beds were extra, extra firm but we would return, without question, because we enjoyed the owners so much. The location worked fine for us.
