Pousada Marbella — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Cabo Frio

We spent in September and October 3 weeks there. Overall the hotel and its sourrounding was good. It is only 200 m away from Geriba Beach. It had a nice pool area. It has a nice pool and also a special part for small kids. My daughters enjyoyed this very much! ||Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. We had a family room that was quite good equipped with a possibility to cook, microwave and a big fridge which was quite useful for us. The rooms itself was ok but not very modern. Air condition was available and worked fine. TV also. ||The hotel personnel was quite friendly and also fulfilled some special requests we had. The only thing we had to compain about is that the phone was not always working and repairing of the phone needed nearly one week. There are some things to improve such as the breakfast that was not that great, just basic stuff; the seats in the small breakfast area really uncomfortable. The air conditioner in the room made a lot of noise and even with ear plugs we could hear it. The shower was crooked and to wash ourselves we had to almost glue to the wall to get some water on us. I've asked the reception desk to fix it, but they didn't or maybe they couldn't because the shower was wrongly mounted, however as a kindness, they've could have offered us to change the room for a better one. There is also an awful smell of sewage when you seat by the swimming pool. They switch on the sauna only at the end of the day, which didn't work for us.The location is a bit far from the centre, if you don't have a car so to go to the Orla Bardot where all the shops and restaurants are, you'll need to...

Visited June 12-24 with my 2 children (11 and 13) and close to 100 people from Houston, Scotland and Arkansas. We were there to play soccer with the local team and travel to Rio for the Maracana stadium FIFA games.||||Pros:||1. Location. Only 1 1/2 blocks from a most beautiful beach-Geriba. Four blocks from the main street.||2. Personnel. Helpful, accomodating, nice in very way.||3. Restaurant and bar. Included breakfast of fruits, pastries, eggs, sausage.
