Pousada Verdemar Centro — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Cabo Frio

The hotel is located in the center of Buzios, which is a plus. Next plis is a breakfast (included in the price) which consists: ham, cheese, bread, butter, jam, cake, watermelon, melon, and coffee, tea and orange juice. ||Although the basic product the breakfasts are good.||||Personally, I would not recommend this place for the following reasons:||||- Reception is located in the local tourist office in the same building. Result is that you have to wait between the people who buy local trips.||- Only one staff person speaks little English. He speaks English when somebody want to by a trip if you have problem with booking or you want to make a complains He told that do not speak English good enough or do not understand.||- I booked a room with a window (pictures on booking.com room with windows with street view, simple room but quite large). I got a room with no windows!!! (Internal room). After arguing at the reception and show the confirmation voucher from bloking.com where is visible room picture (Portuguese version) the staff changed me a room with a window but the next day!||The new room had a window but internal facing on courtyard. Close the window pass others customers to the next room. The result was that I can not open the window all time. I can not maintain the privacy..||Hotel have only one room in the windows with street wiew. - I recommend a big attention!||||In the room there were bugs / cockroaches!!! At night, on the bed went cockroach size about 5-6 the largest I've ever seen in my life. Antes las quejas al encargado (el rubio), su respuesta fue encogerse de hombros y decir "no hay", sin dar ninguna solución o buscar alguna alternativa. Cero empatía.||* El dia que llegamos habia una cucaracha en el baño. El encargado la sacó, pero tomó como broma la solicitud de mi amiga de sacar la cucaracha muerta, riendose de la solicitud. Es cierto, no es grave, pero ellos venden su negocio supongo y a nadie le gusta encontrarse en la habitación que pagó con una cucaracha y que mas encima el encargado se reía como queriendo decir que eramos "exagerados".||* Están haciendo arreglos y la puerta de entrada al hostal esta todo el dia abierta, el recepcionista se supone que está todo el dia, pero no se le ve siempre, por lo que esa área queda desprotegida.||*Guardarropas con puerta en mal estado.||Resumen: Dos estrellas ⭐️⭐️ (de un total de cinco)||No lo recomendaria en caso de que tengan una estadia larga en buzios, solo sirve para ir a dormir. This place was exactly what I expected and it was totally okay by me. Stayed here three nights and the price is right. Breakfast is basic, but gets the job done. Expect to have cockroaches in your room, but they will happily give you bug spray. The bed was comfy even though the sheets and towels were a bit dirty. I didn't mind it all though. The room was pretty clean and people were nice. Good place to stay if you are on a tight budget...
