Pousada Villa Romântica — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Caxias do Sul

After much research before our trip, my wife and I settled on Pousada Villa Romantica before our first ever trip to Riogrande do Sul. And as it turns out, we selected a "little piece of heaven" on Brazil's Romantic Route. Our hostess, Claudet, reached out to us after we made our initial reservation... and extended the wamth and hospitality that is indicative of this wonderful region. Pousada Villa Romantica is about 12 - 15 minutes outside of the charming town of Nova Petropolis in the heart of the land settled by German immigrants nearly 200 years ago. Claudet speaks Portuguese, German and Spanish.||||At the time of this writing, Pousada Villa Romantica consists of 5 charming new cottages situated on a tract of land with a great view of Serra Gaucha in the backgound. During our stay, another cottage was under construction on the other side of the property.||||Each cottage is ample for a couple or small family. The separate bedroom consists of a double bed and plenty of closet space. The living room includes a sleeper couch, fireplace and dinette set. A cozy fireplace is situated on the corner of the living room. (At night it can get chilly!) In addition to the fireplace is the entertainment suite consisting of a large flat-screen TV with plenty of cable channels as well as a WIFI router. During our weeklong stay, the WIFI internet remained strong and reliable. The cottage includes a small kitchenette complete with sink, stove-top, refrigerator and sufficient utensils to make a simple meal and hot drinks. The bathroom situated in the far corner of our cottage is ample, and plenty of hot water was never an issue. In the front of the cottage is a small porch to take in the views of the magnificent landscape. A convenient parking spot is situated next to the porch. To sum it up, Pousada Villa Romantica far exceeded our expectations. ||||The residence of Claudet and her family fronts Highway RS-235 (the main route between Nova Petropolis and Gramado... and is almost equidistant between the two towns). Villa Romantica is a convenient drive to all the touristic points of interest in both Gramado and Nova Petropolis. Nearby Esculturas Parque Pedros Do Silencio (the park of the silent statues that tell the story of the German immigrants) is just a 5 minute drive. The Pianelo grocery store and Mukli chocolate cafe are also nearby. We found a bottle of locally produced wine in our cottage. If you don't see one in your cottage upon arrival, ask Claudet for a bottle... it is simply delicious.||||Upon arrival, Claudet advised us that coffee was served in the main house from 8 AM until 10 AM. Our first morning, my wife and I slept in and missed morning "coffee." We did not think it was big deal (believing it was just coffee and krimpets). Around 9:50 AM, Claudet knocked on our door, and asked if we were having coffee. I told her that we would take a pass. She looked at us with disappointment, and said that we should drop in anyways. We did...and were blown away. "Coffee" not only included coffee and tea," but a smorgasbord of more than 2 dozen goodies spread out over 2 12-foot shelves. From that point on, my wife and I never missed morning coffee again.||||Needless to say, we found our "little piece of heaven" in Brazil at Pousada Villa Romantica, and plan on returning...

Estivemos na pousada em dezembro 2018, alugamos pelo booking e em julho 2019 retornamos e alugamos direto com eles, com desconto de 10% pagamento em dinheiro. Você pode entrar na internet, acessar o site e entrar em contato direto. Pagamos R$ 414,00 por 2 diárias, quinta-feira e sexta-feira para 2 adultos e 1 criança de 5 anos com café da manhã incluso, simples, mas bem bom, tudo novinho. Cabana muito limpa e cheirosa, toalhas e roupas de cama impecáveis. Chuveiro espetacular. Tem um sofá cama na sala, mas nos ofereceram um colchão para meu filho dormir junto no quarto. Quando chegamos a noite, bateram na porta para nos perguntar se precisávamos de alguma coisa é se gostaríamos que acendessem a lareira. Local bem tranquilo, bonito e acolhedor. Só fica meio distante de gramado +- 20 km. Poderiam disponibilizar uma cafeteira, abridor de garrafas, varal de roupas e TV com...

Já viemos muitas vezes e tivemos boas lembranças do local. No entanto, dessa vez, encontramos o local com a grama alta e mal cuidada, o chuveiro do quarto descompensado, difícil ajustar temperatura. O pior, no entanto, foi que estava super frio, viemos com nosso filho. Saímos e deixamos o ar ligado para aquecer, já que além de frio e úmido. Na volta, descobrimos que alguém havia entrado no nosso quarto e desligado o ar. E fato que, só vimos depois, tinha um aviso pedindo que, ao sair, fosse desligado o ar. Erramos, não vimos a mensagem. Mas que aguardassem nosso retorno e nos chamassem a atenção, entrar no nosso quarto sem estarmos lá, foi muita falta de respeito. Uma pena, mas já...
