If you are going to Trancoso and expects a quiet and clean place, try Casa Franco Hospedaria. ||The hotel has few rooms and a breakfast room, where you can eat hand made food, like "tapioca" and fresh juice drinks. The pool is clean, well mantained, and it has a barbecue grill where you can even make a barbecue! It has a good wi-fi, with more than one hotspot. ||You must ask for the suite, located in the first floor of the main building, wich has onde large bedroom, bathroom and air conditioned. The only drawback is that you have to park the car in the street...||A few meters ahead you will find a restaurant for a lunch, with honest prices.The hotel is located in a walking distance from the "Quadrado" - one of the main atractions, but the street is not overcrowded like the main street. ||The place is owned by Erika and Alessandra, running the hotel in a family way. This is a lovely pousada just outside the centre of town. It is very cosy, secure and one of the few places to have its own pool - which has delicious, naturally warm water.||Erika is a great host and not only has the pousada but takes all the potential stress of transportation but providing the airport transfers as well. She has great local knowledge and will recommend activities, beaches, day trips, bars & restaurants.||The pousada itself is very comfortable - our room was very spacious had air conditioning & satellite TV. It is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Trancoso or “Quadrado”. This suited us fine as it was great to stretch the legs and see a bit more of the town. ||Trancoso is a very popular destination for Brazilian and overseas tourists alike and so there are many posada to choose from. We had an amazing stay at Casa Franco when we visited breathtaking Trancoso. This pousada is well run, spacious, clean, and the owner is marvelous.||||The property is located in the town about a 10-15 minute (very safe) walk to the Quadrado and the beach. We loved being able to enjoy the local community shops and restaurants alongside the traditional tourist area in the Quadrado.||||The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, and air conditioned. The in-suite bathrooms are great and walk-in showers with good water pressure. ||||The grounds contain a lovely garden and pool for relaxing or a bbq. ||||Finally, the owner, Erika and her team, are very welcoming, knowledgeable of the area, and so helpful. And they make a great cup of coffee!||||We highly recommend staying at Casa Franco...
