This place is nice, BUT it is not as nice or convenient as I thought. ||||I booked a place here based on the amazing reviews and I was disappointed. First, the pousada is located in a bad location, far from everything (40-50 reais taxi from Maceio city). And they don't offer enough services, which means you need to go out to eat. And if you don't have a car, which was our case, then you have a problem. You can have lunch at the barracas on the beach, which are expensive for what they are, and not good or nice. ||||You can try to pre-order dinner at the pousada (they have a couple of options, but you have to let them know before 7pm, they don't tell you that, you only find out when you try to order and then they tell you that you had to order dinner before 7pm). And they make you feel uncomfortable about ordering anything, even in the afternoon. Why have a menu if you don't want people to order. And how can you not offer food if the place is in the middle of nowhere.|| ||Another bad thing, the surrounding area is dangerous and people tell you to avoid walking around the area at night. I||||The rooms are nice, the pool is nice. The beach in front of the hotel is not, you need to walk for 10-15 minutes to find a nicer beach, but then the problem is that there is nowhere to sit at the beach, nothing, either in front of the hotel...||||I would not come back,...
Read moreOnce you get there, you get it: this is the place you want to be for vacations, after a whole year of hard work.||||In the mornings, breakfast is served in a variety of fruits, juices, sandwiches and sweets. Very brazilian and cozy. Just in front of the ocean! At night, there`s nothing like sitting at the front porch, having a gentle breeze while you read a book or get the cel phone after a day at the beaches. It was great! One day, I asked for a genuine italian meal, with a totally surprise menu. Didn't regret it: I had pasta, chicken breasts and vegetables, with a very homey flavoring. Panna cotta for desert!||||It all works as if you were a guest at a cousin's or a friend's home. Ivan and Graziella made me feel like a special guest, as they do with everyone else. They live there and they like to maintain a certain quality of the room and services. The employees are equally attentive and nice.||||The place is a little bit far, but nothing that a car can't resolve: it is a 10-minute drive to the city center. I can't wait to come back with my husband and have an...
Read moreThis is a beautiful property if only the owners were the same. Check-in was met with a bit of irritation as I interrupted their lunch. When finding out my Portuguese skills are pretty basic this Italian couple determined no communication was best and over 4 nights not once did they ask how I was or even say hello. Quite a feat for only having 8 rooms. Ivan was very put out when the wifi in the area of my room didn't work and said I could use the wifi by the pool. I explained I needed it in my room and this was unacceptable. After a bit of muttering, he called to have it fixed. The staff were nice but also seemed a bit on edge. They appear to try and cut corners - someone came in my room and turned off the a/c when I made a trip to the store, sheets, towels, or toiletries were never replaced over 4 nights. I was never told about services and didn't find out about the beach chairs until day 3.||||Could be paradise with owners that...
