Pousada Gostoso – charming pousada with rustic cottages well spaced out throughout the grounds, that are set back 50 m from the beach. The cottages themselves are very simply furnished/finished off, but they have good working AC and plentiful hot water. Each one has 2 chairs and a hammock to relax outside. The best thing (for us, although it may not suit everyone) is that the pousada feels very quiet and private. We stayed in chalet 1 – closest to beach and never had anyone next to us, so felt like we were the only ones staying here. Breakfast is the usual Brazilean fare: fresh fruit/cake/bread and you can ask for eggs cooked anyway you like. The only downside might be that no one speaks a word of English here, but they tried very hard to understand what little portuguese we spoke - bring your phrase book!!||If you kitesuf, then the position of the pousada is excellent: next door to one kite school (who rent their kite storage area in this pousada) and 2 doors away from Dr Wind kite school. We kept all our kit in our room, and walked straight down to the beach to set up each day.||They have almost finished building a bar and restaurant right next to the beach. I can only see this adding to the place . Ie, drinks after finishing a session. They are far enough away from the rooms to not affect the privacy..||There was a swimming pool there. It looked like it needed a re-vamp and that area if re-done would greatly enhance the property. It wasn't an issue for us as the beach was...
Read moreSuggested by a Brazilian who stayed in my B&B in Rome last Feb., this Pousada was just what we wanted (and believe me, I'm a demanding person being a host myself): extremely friendly staff, always ready to help, giving us helpful tips all the time; quite and relaxing place; fantastic bfast (thanks Elvio for your unforgettable tapiocas!); right in front of the beach. Over all really a great value for money. I definitely suggest everyone to eat here at least once cause it was probably the best dinner we had and for a price that you won't get in any other restaurant of the town (even though they are not expensive neither). Already looking forward to come back! Thanks Elvio, Julio and all the staff for making our holiday so...
