This 3 days weekend we went to Petropolis. We already had a good experience staying in a chalé in Araras around 1 Year ago so we looked for a another chalé in this nice vilage/area. This time we went out fot the first time with our newborn daughter (3 months old). We had a really great experience in Recanto das Araras. The chalé is very cosy, clean and comfortable. Big enough for the 3 of us with a hydro bath. The surroundings are great we could see Araras (parrots), Tucanos, different birds and little monkeys from the breakfast (which was pretty good) area outside. Read moreIf you are planning a calm trip to Araras there isn´t a better spot than Recanto das Araras. We have had the opportunity of staying there over five times these past 3 years. The amazing staff is always ready to help, they are there to truly make you feel at home. The pousada grounds are very well kept, you might get lucky and get glimpse of the resident iguana that resides in the bamboo bushes. The pool is quite welcoming and the bungalows are comfortable and private. They have a nice dvd collection that you can pick up at the front desk. Read moreVery beautiful and peaceful place. Perfect for relaxing and being closer to nature. Very friendly and warm staff. I stayed during weekdays so my family and I felt like being home. Although in the middle of the nature Pousada Recanto das Araras has great internet connection and good Mobile network reception which allowed me to work while my wife and daughter enjoyed the pool during the day. Better to be by car but there are countless restaurants and even supermarkets who delivering good stuff and the staff has always contacts of drivers who could take you somewhere if you like.
