This is coming from an American on vacation in SP. I don’t know if other English-speaking travelers will make it all the way out here, but I can say it was no trouble for us. From Maceió airport you can find a transfer (like Uber) service and it was a little under 2 hour drive.
From the moment you arrive , the workers are there to help you. I can say this with zero doubt, every single worker we encountered was extremely nice and helpful. They had such an air of calm about them that you couldn’t help but feel relaxed.
We had several requests for the staff on the first day, and they took every issue seriously and solved them efficiently. The A/C in the room actually makes most of the condo cold, so no problem there.
There are restaurants there. One is actually inside aldeia, and the other is right down the road (restaurant amor). Trust me, fellow Americans, when I say the food here is top notch for the price. Very elegant meals with just the right amount. A nice dinner will run you probably R$45 , which is like $15. But the food is fantastic. I don’t like seafood so I cannot speak for that, but every non-seafood item was also great ( we tried almost all non-seafood items).
The breakfast is unbelievable. It’s obviously built in to your overall price but it is well worth whatever amount. They bring delicious fruit of quality that I am certain we don’t have in most the U.S. it is so fresh and tasty. Then they bring an array of pão de queijo and many other dishes, as well as coffee with milk. There’s a nice balance of salty and sweet with the breakfast. Don’t worry about all the different items, just try them. They are all wonderful. They also bring fresh juices, from maracujá to strawberry to whatever you can think of.
As for the rooms, they are fine. Every day , there is a woman who comes to clean at some point. I had to go back in the room to grab something and she happened to be there. I saw how she cleaned she was literally hand-scrubbing the floors. You can tell how clean it is. Bed is always made up.
As for the beach, we had had recent rains so there was quite a bit of algae, and it was during the fall. The beach was still VERY beautiful. The workers will come every 30 minutes-1 hour or so and ask if you need anything. Yes they bring food and drinks down to the beach.
All this is not inconvenient for either party because you don’t have to pay at the same time you order every time. They keep a tab of what you got and you just pay when you leave.
Will definitely be back as soon as we can ! Thanks to all the workers who do a great job making us tourists feel at home. You made our stay...

Read moreI went for the first time to this place in 2015, and wrote a review to TripAdvisor. We return on January 2016 with the whole family, and last January again, my wife and I. Only after coming to the Caribbean, at Providenciales, I decided it was time and well deserved to write another review of this fantastic beach front hotel, because it has something that Turks and Caicos lacks: an outstanding, superb, service.|The sea is not as transparent as the Caribbean - although Alagoas coast is unique in South America for its turquoise color - but the nature there, in Porto da Pedra, is definitely much more virgin, with much less real estate development: a beach of coconut trees all over.|But what distinguishes this hotel is, above all, hospitality. Adriana and Joaquim, the owners, make sure all guests feel at home there. Their employees - all of them, represented here by Leticia and Will - make sure you, as a guest, feel their pleasure in serving you. Nothing is difficult, for them, everything is possible for the entire team, always with a smile in their faces. Yes, the hotel is expensive, specially when we go at year end/beginning of January, but one enjoys fully what they offer and each penny paid is worth. Regrettably, we had to come to Turks and Caicos to remind these attributes of Beijupirá, as nothing here can come close to compare to hospitality and warmth of that Pousada....
