Warabi Hotelaria & Gastronomia — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Resende

We stayed at Hotel Warabi in January 2014 for three nights. Although Maua is a little hard to get to (we ended up splurging and getting a private transfer from Paraty) it's well worth the trouble. Warabi offered us a very reasonable rate for their own driver, Philip, who spoke excellent English and with whom we shared a really enjoyable drive. He pointed out loads of interesting things along the way, stopping to show us an amazing view, and also to show us a fresh spring where we filled up our water bottles. He is also very humorous and good natured, and also left plenty of time for staring out of the window and trundling along in companionable silence. ||||The hotel was amazing. I loved falling asleep to the sound of rushing water (the river was right outside our chalet), the jacuzzi on our porch, and the kimonos for our use in the room. ||||Breakfast was a totally unexpected Japanese affair - complete with sushu rolls, and either seared tuna or delicious fried trout, miso soup and then jasmine tea and a little tea cake. They also have plenty of the standard Brazilian fare too (pao com queijo, papaya, cheese/ ham/ fruit juice etc). ||||We had dinner there twice as we found the other restaurants a little primpy and toy-towny, and most things were empty as it was out of season. The sushi at the restaurant is incredibly good. We eat a lot of sushi in London and this was of a very high standard and excellent value for money. ||||We wanted to travel next to Belo Horizonte but as we do not have a Brazilian tax number we were unable to book anything online (hotel and travel). The lady who runs Warabi was so kind she booked and paid for our tickets on her own credit card to get around this problem. In the end the booking was rejected (Brazil really needs to sort this one out before the World Cup) and the money refunded to her, but we were really touched by her generosity and the not un-significant amount of time she took doing it all online. ||||As our plans for Belo Horizonte were scuppered, we decided to head back to Rio (on a bus from Resende) and then on to Saquarema for the weekend. We asked for a private transfer again, but she told us to catch the local bus as it would only cost us Rs 5 each. This was very nice of her, as she could have made loads of money out of us. She also got up early to prepare us a packed breakfast to take with us, and came out to the bus stop to make sure we knew what we were doing! ||||All in all these touches of good humour, generosity and kindness meant a great deal to us and, (although the rooms were a bit dusty, and the pool quite small) we will remember the warmth of Warabi for...

Nos hospedamos, eu e meu esposo, no período de 10 a 13.05.22. Só havia disponibilidade para o chalé "Take Spa". O que vou narrar aqui com certeza não poderá alcançar o que de fato é. Imagina um lugar desagradável, um casebre, largado, abandonado! O mais lamentável é você ver imagens maquiadas de um lugar que deveria estar desativado, mas que os proprietários da pousada continuam cobrando e ganhando dinheiro em cima de trouxos, como nós!! Nada, absolutamente nada, é bom nesse espaço que chamam de take spa. Em um espaço largado, como se fosse um segundo quarto, havia 2 camas de solteiro, horrorosas, só no lençol, cheio de poeiras. Tapetes sujos, bem sujos. O quarto tinha apenas 1 abajour todo furado e velho para iluminar todo o ambiente, teias de aranha por todos os lados, paredes esburacadas, blecaute (não tinha cortina) soltos, rasgados, pelo avesso. Um "bar" no quarto com pia de tanque.

Piso de madeira extremamente opaco, riscado, desbotado, descascado, precisando de limpeza, cera, capricho. Uma lareira toda descascada, suja, empoeirada, manchada.

Moscas, fiação a vista por todos os lados, assim como canos de água. Porta que separa o quarto do banheiro não fecha. Roupa de cama com cheiro ruim, parecia usada. Você sai da sua casa com uma roupa de cama extremamente cheirosa, nova para chegar numa pousada e encontrar roupa de cama ou usada, ou mal lavada, velhas. Tábuas com distanciamento, cheio de buracos, assim como o lambri do teto. Isso porque estamos falando de um lugar frio, ou seja, por todos os lados o frio adentra no ambiente, pelo chão, pelas paredes, pelo teto. Cadeiras de descanso podres, largadas ao vento, nojentas de tão acabadas. Péssimo acesso até o quarto, pedras altas e disformes, iluminação muito precária, quase inexistente. Chuveiro não esquentava, problema em tudo que era lugar, gás, tubulação. Por dois dias seguidos funcionários tentavam fazer com que o hóspede pudesse tomar um banho quente. banheiro sem ducha higiênica, A pessoa não pode se servir no café da manhã, tem que ficar ao lado da funcionária dizendo o que quer. Xícara quebrada e colada grosseiramente, pronta para ferir um desavisado. Tábuas podres e soltas no deck por onde se passa para tomar o café da manhã. Banheiro feminino que fica na recepção/café alagado, sujo, largado, abandonado, visão dos horrores. Carpas e tartarugas agonizando num lago raso, sujo, deplorável. Funcionários batendo cabeça para resolver toda hora problemas. Rústico é uma coisa, precário é outra coisa. Lugar mal cuidado, largado. Descaso total!! Fotos maquiadas. Só depois fui ver alguns comentários. Ao que parece os donos não estão nem ai. Pura enganação, muito lamentável, vender uma coisa que não é. É lubridiar o consumidor. Precário, precário precário!!! Não recomendo de maneira nenhuma para ninguém!!!!!!!! Nunca nos sentimos tão enganados, nunca foi tão constrangedor estar num lugar. SÓ NÃO SAIMOS NO MESMO MOMENTO PORQUE NOSSOS AMIGOS TINHAM MARCADO DE NOS ENCONTRAR NESSE LUGAR DOS HORRORES APÓS 2 ANOS SEM NOS VER. Eles também acreditaram nas fotos maquiadas do site, foram eles que indicaram o tal residencial.

A "pousada" deveria fechar para reforma, os proprietários deveriam ter vergonha já que não têm respeito.

Warabi Hotel have a few cottages scattered on the property, surrounded by trees and at different levels, which gives you some privacy, but not hiding spaces, paths and gardens.||A mountain river at the end of the property provides the background sound that completes the environment. Each house has a different layout and a special feature. Some have their own heated pool, another has a pool table or a hot tube (ofurô) or private sauna. All chalets have a fireplace, very useful in the cold weather of that region. There is also a shared sauna and pool.||The main building and office has a restaurant, where a rich breakfast is served in the morning, and meals throughout the day. The restaurant also has a tasteful variety of Japanese food, wines, beers, and a micro-brewery, weekly serving its own production.||The owners are attentive and seek to resolve any issues that arise, quickly and effectively.||Despite being a romantic place to stay, we were there with a couple of very small grandchildren and the staff was very kind and helpful with the mess and the needs...
