No doubt our room was very pleasant. Very modern and spaceous. We had a lake view room which we paid extra for and it was a walkout so we leave to the lake with our patio sliding doors. The king-sized bed was comfortable. Two large flat screen TVs. Only free viewing were Portuguese channels. We weren't there to watch TV so no big deal. Now for such a luxurious room there was not drinking glasses - glass or plastic. No ice bucket. No tissue paper. There's a "kitchen" area with a sink (great) but no cutlery.||The complimentary breakfast was great with a decent selection of foods. Again, lots of great Portuguese breads and pastries. Lots of fruit choices. Couple of styles of eggs. Lots of juice selections other than orange juice like watermelon, guava and grape. Lots of dessert especially baked ones.||WIFI is spotty and almost no existent in the bedroom. WIFI is strongest in the lobby.||There is a convenience store in the hotel.||I noticed too late a shoe polisher in the lobby which I would have loved to use for my cowboy boots.||One big avoidable peeve was why we were given a room where they decided to have work done just outside the hallway the following day of our 2 day stay. The worker's work area covered with tarp the width of the hallway so we had to walk on it (waste material) to get to our room. Then there was the irritating banging sounds outside our door. We just do not understand why hotel management decided to have maintenance or repair work done at the time of our stay. It didn't look like it was for emergency repair. And if it wasn't then why were we assigned that room to begin with?||We didn't get quiet enjoyment of our room.||We picked Eurostars Brisa Do Lago for the tranquility of being near a lake for our 20th wedding anniversary but didn't expect the banging just outside our front door.||The location is inconvenient since it's away from the city core but worth it for the peace and quiet.||Good to see this hotel tries to promote recycling and separates...
Read more5 stars is a joke. ||The stay in the hotel was very unpleasant. ||Sure, there are some facilities that are interesting (swimming pool, jaccuzi)... but not working... or not working very well. ||The main swimming pool was not working during the whole stay, without any explanation (when we asked, the staff did not know why). The staff told me to go to the paddling pool instead, telling me that people very enjoy it!!! A joke (how to swim in 5 minimiters of water). The other paddling pool had a little more water (at knee level), but too small to swim. However, I tried it... but this was closed the day after (again without explanation. I would like to know what happened because I went to that paddling pool, and it should just normal to know what happened. Was it a problem of quality of the water??? If not, tell us what was the pb) ||Moreover, the staff need to learn more how to work in an hotel, as they don't seem to know international standards regarding hotel management.||The room was very dirty (cockroach in the room several times during the stay!!!), not confortable and some items were missing (no blanket, whereas we requested for it at the desk office because it was very cold during the night. BTW, the housekeeper should learn how to make the bed!!!)||||A last point, the hotel faces a lake. That should be fine. However, according to what we were told from inhabitants from Brasilia, it is not recommanded to swim into this lake (wherease the staff advise us to swim into this polluted lake). We can see that 2 large pipes (from sewage?!) of the hotel go directly into the lake. Moreover, this lake is know for this (sewage... Several years ago, the odor was so strong that they discharged some chemical products) ||At the end, the conclusion is that we should be reimbursed for our so unpleasant stay in that 2 (mxm 3 stars if swimming pool was working) (not 5...
Read moreThe location is great if you have a car or a driver to take you/bring you. The building is new as the premises. Service ... well .. service is not of the best you can get .. Rooms are light, very clean and quiet. The hotel is away from the city traffic, noise and polution, the views of the lake are amazing and the swimming pools and gym are very good. ||Weird things: NO SPORTS CHANNELS in the TV Cable!!! No channels in English, not even CNN!!! nothing!!! These days the Copa America Centenario is broadcasting, as well as the NBA Finals .. so guess what? you have to go somewhere else, because in this crazy hotel they have 5 channels to follow the crooks in the Brazilian Senate blaming each other for the corruption cases, and there is no international television much less sport TV!!!! ridiculous!!||No iron or iron board in the rooms ... that is not asking too much; in the civilized world every hotel (even express) has an iron .. well . not here .. so, your choices are clear, you either pay USD 4 to get your shirt ironed, or .. walk in wrinkles!! ||Internet is lousy, inestable and slow. ||Really, a waste, a waste of place, location with a VERY POOR management. Good knows who these Intercity are, but obviously have no idea about managing a hotel with international practices. Not having channels in Spanish or English, not even having sports .. what are guests expected to watch? Brazilian soap operas or the drammas of the Brazilian Senate!!??? ...
