Pousada Golfinho Tropical — Hotel in Região Imediata de Caraguatatuba-Ubatuba-São Sebastião

What a delight... We planned quite last minute to visit Ubatuba, not really knowing what to see and where to stay. Luckily we found this guesthouse online and took our chances! It was one of the most pleasant stays throughout our Brazil trip (2 weeks); the place itself is very homely and clean, and the atmosphere makes you want to unpack your bags and not leave!||||We booked an ocean view private room; it was very spacious, clean, with a good size balcony looking out onto the beach and ocean. The bathroom was clean, and big enough: the shower worked well. ||||The location is also great for those who prefer the calm and tranquility of beach side: it is not in the city centre itself, but only a 15minute walk alongside the beach. ||||We had such a great time with the owners- so open and sociable! The common area on the groundfloor is perfect for relaxing and talking with other travellers; Denise and Darell the owners are always around to give advice or just have a chat. ||||Looking forward to returning back there and staying more...

Despite the size of the town, there's no shortage of guesthouses and hostels in and around Ubatuba. However, I couldn't recommend staying here more. Located literally on the beachfront at one of the town's cleanest sites, this brilliant little hostel has everything you need. The rooms are simple and clean, the beds are comfortable, there are fans, mini fridges, TVs and to top it all off, Daryl and his family are amazing hosts. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel like one of their family and they really can't do enough to help. Denise makes a lovely breakfast in the mornings and their two children are on hand and always ready to help. The hostel's central location means that shops, bars, chemists and restaurants are nearby, the town is a 15/20 minute walk away, and several gorgeous beaches are a cycle-ride away. Daryl took myself and a friend to visit a nearby waterfall on our first day and was keen for us to learn to surf with his son, Josh. I won't hesitate to come back to this lovely hostel if I return to Ubatuba...

The Golfinho Tropical is a great place for your stay in Ubatuba. Right at one of the best beaches to learn surfing, with restaurants and supermarkets around. The town is an easy 15min walk away.||The place itself is really cozy and you feel immediatly at home. The commen area is nicely furbished and a good place to talk with fellow travellers and the owners. These are great people, who do everything to make your stay perfect, from telling you all you want to know about the surroundings to teaching how to surf:)||||I can highly recommend this place to anybody...
