We have lived in Bulgaria for nearly 3 years, and been visiting yearly for 10 before that. I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal here (or maybe one 😊) this is the most amazing country for wine, food, people, sun, mountains, so much more. ||Despite all of this, I have been unable to find a big thick juicy steak - until tonight! Perched in a very Leafy area, of what I call 'higher' Karlovo, on the upper foot of the mountain. The more impressive part of it is the Garden, with 2 or 3 v.large sun umbrellas, scattered around a nicely landscaped garden. The Restaurant room, inside, is small, a couple of large tables and 3/4 smaller ones. The clients seemed to be a bit 'posher' and that was reflected in it's prices. Had the pleasure of spending a night in this hotel. A friend kindly choose it for us and it was a fabulous choice. The room was massive, with a lovely balcony looking out on to the hills. We are with a party of 6 adults and three children and the food was very good, all the dishes were if the same quality. It was a Thursday evening and even though it's off the beaten track a bit it was buzzing with locals. |Really look forward to staying...
