As we came to the hotel, it was very NOISY. There was a disco nearby. We asked to change the room, the reception lady was very rude and didn´t want to do anything about that, although as we booked we requested a quiet room as a special request.||Then she lied to us that there is no other room. We spoke then with the manager of the hotel and she was also very rude. She didn´t care about us as clients, she insisted only on having her money for the room. Then they “accidentally” found another room, but it was also noisy.||In both rooms there were ashtrays and definitely was smoked in there. They said it is forbidden, but they lied about that too, cause the ashtrays were a property of the hotel. ||The door knob was broken, so we were afraid that someone will break in. ||The room was very dirty, the curtains with stains all over them, the floor with holes in it. There was mold on the walls, bathroom also awful and dirty.||They didn´t want to give our money back, although we didn´t sleep there. ||We decided to change the hotel and we didn´t regret it. ||I wouldn´t recommend it if you want a relaxing and...
Read moreRamira Hotel is right in the center of Kyustendil, just behind the City Art Gallery with the fountains. I stayed in the apartment on the top floor, and the view was amazing – you can see the city center, the mountain, and the Hisarlaka fortress. The room was very modern, very spacious, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
But the most impressive part is the restaurant! Ramira is not only a hotel, it is also a restaurant of very high quality. The food is like real culinary art – made with attention to detail, secret ingredients, seasonal products, always fresh (never frozen), and from carefully selected local producers. They also offer unique drinks – the lemonade with juniper and chili is something you must try! Admiration for the TEAM- warm, hospitality and extremely...

Pretty extensive menu which is usually a red flag. But they pulled it off. Lots of daily/weekly specials. Everything we had was great to fantastic. And we had a lot. Plus some to go! Hard to put a label on what kind of food is it...modern Bulgarian would be my best effort. Wine list is great too with plenty of natural options.
Maybe they should work on their music selection ;) Staff English ain't great but those aren't real complains. It only adds to the charm. Please don't change for the sake of changing. Stay focussed on the food. So many other places chase established formats and forget why they are in this business.
This is a real gem of a restaurant!! Can't wait to...
